totally frustrated with mycareer player

i really miss 2k15 where everybody can create some sick show by crazy dunks or wild 3 pointers.
but in 2k16, everything is ****ing my player up.

Balanced 6'6 SG with MAXED outside shooting, MAXED Athlete (yet only 78speed)
but i cannot dunk for ****, let alone very simple 1 handed dunk on fast break
I just keep missing those WIDE OPEN 3pts in every mode (park, proam, mycareer) its truly ****ed me up lmao, what should i do

So because you can't just dunk all the time and hit every 3, the game is broken? Smh I'm so ****in tired of seeing people complain about the shooting, it's not broken, it's actually pretty realistic this year, for the first time in a while.

Lets go back to 2k15 where you can be 7 foot magic johnson with vince carter like dunking ability and rebounding rivaling deandre jordan.

Just stop complaining and get better at the game. Maybe change your shot or something or watch some youtube videos. This game is broken in many ways but If I can hit wide open threes with my 7'2 center than so can you. Or get another game idk

I cannot speak for your 3pt shooting, but to pull off the "craziest" dunks pull the R-stick back, not towards the hoop. I also find that using X/square around 17-18ft triggers the "angry turbo dunk" (as in the previews when he jams like there's no tomorrow) and he actually speeds up further, could be an illusion or even dunk specific though. Still, dunking is one of the things that is actually better and more controllable in 2K16.

lol i may be exaggerating little it but i sure as hell shoot only like 20% on 2/10 wide open 3pts. and as for dunk, yep i can't dunk for **** unless its on fast break and i only can do that simple 1 hand dunk

If you're talking about the park, there are a ton of factors.. more than just your attributes.

MyPark has its own Dunk Animations/Size-ups etc... You need to rep to get those. Also, you need to make sure you get all of the good Dunking and Shooting badges from MyCareer.

Do you have the RIGHT dunk animations? (standing dunks, baseline dunks, etc.)

Are you sure you're open?

Do you have the Shot Meter off?

The only way for anyone to help you is if you can show us a video clip... Shooting/Dunk is harder, but not THAT much harder. People are still doing all the crazy stuff from previous games.

Change your jumpshot, learn the release point and don't focus on the shot meter.. That thing causes more problems than it's worth.. I swear factors like a quick release mess with it, once you learn the release point you can score from all over the court.

Dunking, I only select a few dunks. I always pull the right stick away from the basket on a fast break and hold it.

My 6ft3in Outside PG has no problems with either shooting 3's or dunking...

Why should the shot meter be off?

Its personal preference, but its badly designed (this is from the one of the dudes who designed the game) and serves as a distraction.

Give it a try and see how you do. It forces to you to "feel" your shot and focus on making your animation look smooth, which increases the odds of making it.

this happens when you have single player mode with online play implemented together.they cant balance it ever.probaly one of the dumbest ideas a game developer has ever had was this feature

I have a 6'6" SG and average 50/37/97 Im also usually always at the end of a fast break.

Granted I play on SS/Sim but even when I did play on HOF and HOF/Sim I still shot very well I just dont like HOF because of crazy AI shots and too many turnovers.
