Re: Does speed even work?
You should technically be faster without the ball but I'm not aware of the context here because you simply said he was catching up.

This. If he was chasing you on D then it's right. You move slower with the ball.Female Russell Westbrook.

Re: Does speed even work?
I doubt it's due to boosts etc. My 6'7 pg (80 speed/acc/l-quick) feels like he moves WAY faster than my 6'1 sg (87 s/a/l-q).
Height simply adds to speed in this game, just like it has been in every 2k i can remember. They tried to combat this effect by decreasing athletic attributes as you increase in height. I feel like it was a good idea, although i don't quite agree with adding another decrease based on position. Should've just been based on height, and maybe weight/strength if they can incorporate that. IMO, of course.Comment

Re: Does speed even work?
Yeah man I was like how he is faster than me. I probably should've titled this thread: Does speed even matter. In pro am ill get matched up with a sg and he keeps up with me on a fast break, I'm like why is my player so slow lol.I doubt it's due to boosts etc. My 6'7 pg (80 speed/acc/l-quick) feels like he moves WAY faster than my 6'1 sg (87 s/a/l-q).

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.Comment
