If you only fix one thing next year

Fix these insanely ludicrous unforced turnovers where I'm literally 2 feet from another player and I throw it way over his head out of bounds. Like, I'm so close I could hand him the ball but the AI decides to throw it over his head out of bounds for a turnover.

If you have to completely scrap all the presentation to allow the budget and time to correct this, PLEASE...for the love of dime dropping delights, fix it.

    My goodness.

If I can only fix one thing it's not having my AI big standing out of bounds under the basket stantion while the other team throws it into their big for an easy layup/dunk.

If we can go "bigger" then it is simply fixing the defensive AI to make guys smarter on who they guard and when they switch. I get tired of my big grabbing on to the PG for no reason at halfcourt.

I'd get rid of the bucket system for attribute upgrades. Go back to how it was before.

If they literally leave the game the same and just get rid of the half court inbound passes then 2K17 would be the greatest 2K game ever.

I actually don't think movement is bad. A lot of it can be attributed to the momentum system. A lot of people don't operate the L2/R2 correctly to get the result they want either.

It feels clunky compared to 15 because 15 had no momentum. This prevented some stuff from last year occuring (Stopping on a dime and spamming the other way).

If you know how it works, you can use it to your advantage.

I can appreciate the online players but I was more talking about offline franchise play.

Agreed. The teammate AI makes this game extremely frustrating. I feel like my team mates are playing against me and not with me.

CONCUR. Stopping the half-court inbounds passes/preventing guys from just turboing downcourt with their inbound ball-handler would be my pick as well. Our lax AI defenders allow 5 on 4 situations to be created almost at will.

the football passes down the court where the defense simply won't get back.

I am fine with this, but I will prefer also to tone-down the chasedown blocks

I'd continue to improve the play calling system. Theres still too much standing around before the play starts. Off ball screens are still kind of "clunky".

I'd also continue to work on awareness and play recognition on the defensive side, identifying threats, and holes defensively. Helping the helper. Theres still a lot of money plays the A.I just doesn't know what to do and becomes predictable defensively.

I'd also fix the shooting foul / foul logic in general. It's way too random (you basically just get thrown into animations) and getting penalized on the defensive side when you hit no buttons is super frustrating.

Ray Vibes took mine, definitely need to replace bucket with individual attribute. No sense in having to up my outside shot if I only want a big man that can shoot free throws well.

So I'll make an addendum to Goffs post. I don't want to get rid of badges, that will negate the need for MyCareer and I don't see 2K doing that. Instead, only allow up to a max (5) of the badges to be used at one time. You still need to unlock badges like you have in the past, but you can tailor your playing style by only being allowed to equip up to 5 badges.

With the change from buckets to individual attributes and only allowing a small amount of badges (3-5) each MyPlayer will have more of a finger print feel instead of a clone feel. There are way too many similar players in 2K. How great would it be to get with your friends and make a complete team where you meet a particular need as opposed to trying to beat a mirror image of yourselves every game?
