[Courtroom]

After spending years as a team seeming destined to eventually win a cup, that first championship still alludes the San Jose Sharks. After another year without a ring the team knows that their window with the current roster is closing and some hard decisions could have to be made soon if the team does not finally get that elusive championship.

OCTOBER RECAP

After the first month of the NHL season the San Jose sharks have gotten off to a solid start with a 6-2-2 record.

San Jose sits 7th in the league and 2nd in their Division behind the surprise Oilers.

Joe Pavelski appears to have taken the team on his back as he sits with 16 points in the first 10 games of the season including 10 goals in those 10 games.

D-man Brent Burns also is stepping up with 13 points in 10 games this year.

Early in the season the goaltending appears to not be as back and forth as we expected. James Reimer has played 9 games with a 5-2-1 record and 1.75 GAA. But Martin Jones has only played one game this year with a 4.01 GAA.
