Is this a bug again? Just hit a 3-run homerun with Joey Votto in season mode and it said First Major League homerun.

Happened to me with Jhonny Peralta. He went 3/4 with a single (first MLB hit graphic), homer (first MLB homer graphic), double (first MLB doulbe graphic).
Next time up Matt V had a line about having a memorable debut. Would have been really cool if it was Jhonny's actual debut...Comment

In order to avoid this glitch you have to play the first game of the season. Just pick the away team and play out the first at bat then sim to the end of the game. That should fix the problem.
Is this in a new franchise or a carryover save? If it's a carryover franchise there is no workaround. Just an fyi.Comment

Yep just simmed game 1 then watched game 2 and stat osd was correct with last year's in big words and current small below
