    Ive Taken The Plunge

Tonight I made the switch from the One to the 4...first game copped was The Show. This will be the first time I've played The Show series ever...EVER!! As a baseball fan who is brand new to the series...what can I expect???

You can expect to wonder what took you so long. I used to think MLB 2k couldn't be that far behind The Show, then I got a PS4 at launch and MLB 14 and realized what I had been missing out on all last generation.

Turn guess pitch off. Use classic pitching and find a hitting mode that fits your style.

Wait until OS Full Minors come out before you start a franchise.

      Enjoy!

MJ you mind expanding on what OS Full Minors is?? If I had to assume it's a roster edit with accurate farm systems?

Also expect a learning curve. This game can be brutal for beginners. Do not let your pride get the better of you. Start out at a lower level than you think you should, you will appreciate the experience and you can raise it up at any time.

I recommend using dynamic difficulty for at least 75-100 games so you're sure of your personal playing difficulty you should be set on.

The Show is THE reason I went from a 360 to a PS4 and not the One last year and I couldn't have made a better decision.

What to expect? It seems every game brings out a range of emotions, from the Oh, No! when your outfielder dives for a ball and misses to the YESSS! fist-pump when you hit a game-winning homer. And everything in between, especially when you get your first four-run, bottom of the ninth comeback win!

                    Ain't that the truth.

I've cussed my bullpen out (multiple times), yelled the name of my base runners when they get "frisky" (read: take stupid as heck chances). Pulled players after making 3 errors (not that it matters but...dammit I'm proving a point to that pile of pixels!), Rubbed my face in distress when my Rule 5 pitcher walks his 6th batter, groaned in frustration after yet another screwed up rally because Harper and Davis strike out. I'm attached to my farm kids. I get (happily) mad when the CPU won't give in during trade talks.

                    It's crazy. Really, really crazy.

Welcome to The Show. Keep your Tums handy.

You can expect Unicorns, Puppies/Kittens and a pool filled with fluffy marshmallows and chocolate syrup at the end of you plunge :-)

Overall MLBTS is a great game and will suck hours of your life, you will have games where you will cry in shock, pain and disappointment looking up at the sky/ceiling yell WHY/NOOOOOOO!!! shaking your fist (for throwing that meatball down the middle or swinging at that fat juicy curve and whiffing as the last batter with bases loaded and 2 outs, down a run) and games where you will celebrate like it's 1999 (just like in real baseball)

                            HAVE FUN!

At the moment Dynamic Hitting is bugged. Will not adjust. To get the hang of things, start out with Beginner and then after a couple game weeks, move up a notch if you feel comfortable.

I think RTTS would be my suggestion as to a mode to start out on to get a feel for the game. Start a SS or 2B and just play for awhile.

Trust me, say goodbye to any other life you might have had before.
