UFC Ranked Championships
 
Once you become a contender how do you win a championship? Is it randomly determined when you fight another champion for a chance to get the belt?

Once you've reached contender status your next fight should be for the belt, but I have had a few times where I became a contender and didn't get a title fight for another 2-3 fights. You have to be matched up against someone who is either a champion or a contender themselves for it to be a title fight.

Just keep playing and it'll come.
