    Hidden Gems, Playing secondary position.

Who are some of your hidden gems that you play in a secondary position and they potentially become more valuable?

I know many people have used Machado at SS, and for good reason, he has great range and one of the best arms in the game.

A few other guys I have played out of Position or in a secondary to maximize potential.

Trevor Story 2nd Base 5* IE days
    Carpenter 2nd Base against righties
    Carlos Santana at Catcher
    Jose Bautista at 1B
    Odubel Herrera at 2nd.

I just started doing this, and am looking to find more players who can be maximized at different positions. Or are in real life playing out of position and are more suitable at their secondary position.

and Just to clarify, When you change Machado offline from 3bag to SS, his overall goes from a 96 to a 97, Someone like Carpenter goes from an 86 3rd base to an 88 2nd base, and with the 5% decrease in fielding their isn't much penalty.

Mookie at second, his arm is dreadful in the outfield.

Lol you hit the nail on the head! I'm doing a sox inning grind so he is in RF right now but he is always my 2B and his speed makes for great range.

C seager at 3b and Chris Davis at 3b both have pretty good fielding and good enough arms!

Piscotty at 1B when he is on a hot streak.

I mostly play at Fenway so he's fine there and he's hitting .250 with 36 bombs in 120 abs so far

If Cespedes is moved to LF he is a 95 and FB Crawford is also a diamond when moved to CF

Yesterday I discovered that prime Pablo Sandoval was once a catcher.

And he's apparently kind of a beast there.

I have never played Carlos Santana anywhere but catcher. He is my guy. Gonna do the feed mission to get his 90 rated [catcher] card to make it official.

Ernie Banks can play 1st base as well which allows me to get other SS on the field. My roster isn't stacked..but that's the one position I am deep in. I will have 4 golds or better in that spot.

Daniel Murphy can play 3rd. He's not a great fielder at any position...but the bat is soooooo lethal it doesn't matter. Just get him on the field.

Anyone tried Bautista at 3rd? Currently using Prime Zimmerman, but his splits aren't great against lefties. Bautista has a good arm, but his poor fielding and reactions worry me.

I have used him at 3rd and he is fine, he plays the same as he would at 1st, picks anything at him, but anything to his sides he is very slow to react.

Santana on a 5 STAR inside Edge is better than his FB Card, if you don't want to go crazy on the grind.

This is an absolute Gem, on a non IE day, with a 5% decrease in fielding and reaction, he would be a 94 overall 2nd basemen, I haven't used his card enough to know what boosts he gets on his 3-5 Star days, but he may play up to a 96 or 97 at second. I may never use another second basemen. And you probably just saved me 50k stubs now I don't feel the need to get Altuve.

                              Thank you!
