PS4 Madden 17 Classic Roster

I am working on creating a Madden 17 classic roster that contains the best NFL players from 2001 - 2016. I've re-purchased Madden 2001 through 2015 so I can give the created players their exact Madden rating from the year in which they are created. If a player is 22 years old and 85 overall in Madden 2006 but 23 years old and 96 overall in Madden 2007, his Madden 2007 age and overall will be the one that is used. Height, weight, hometown, birthdays (not year) will be exact. I will try to get equipment and appearance as close as possible.

No players who currently still play in the NFL will be adjusted - for example, Drew Brees, DeMarcus Ware, etc, will not be touched in this roster. Some legends that I can get good Madden attribute data for will be included. MUT will be a primary source for legend attributes. I will try to do a comparison to see if speed attributes from the older versions need tweaked based on today's game play.

All in all, I've enjoyed this site and haven't contributed a whole lot so I thought I'd throw this out there. Hopefully some people find it useful! Obviously no ETA as of yet but there will be a few hundred players to create once the game is released. I'm compiling the data now to make things easier come August.

Just curious why would you go this route?

The reason I ask is because I have madden 05 through madden 16 and based on EA's ratings your going to end up with roughly 200-300 players with nearly maxed out overall ratings

that means 90+ will be the norm and someone like Marion Barber for example is going to be incredibly overrated despite him having only 1-2 good years at best...

Seems like I good project to do but I'm not sure we truly had 200-300 elite players in the last 10-15 years which is what using the highest overall rating for each player will basically lead to on this file.
