This could be the downfall of the UFC.

Dave Meltzer on MMA hour today suspected that Dana White stays aboard after the sale

Really curious to hear if the case or not, and to learn more in general about the details

Read White's shares sold to, and that he will be staying on and getting a stake in new ownership.

as long as Dana White stays on board then it should be fine. Dana White is gold for the UFC and I don't care what ppl say about him. He has taken the UFC to a place I never thought it would reach.

Sale is good for the UFC but Dana white leaving is bad for the UFC.

I hope he stays after the sale.

Dana has to be replaced if they want a professional company. You don't see the other faces of the leagues on Twitter calling fans stupid, making fun of their pictures, etc. He has also disappeared lately from the press conferences and appearances and the sale amount is going to piss a lot of fighters off and he is going to be the point person for that.

Unions and lawsuits could really hurt the profit, but it could overall help. Before fighters had a hard time putting a $ amount on the UFC, but now they know how much it is worth and can say what 50% or so is worth.

It doesnt work like that though. Profit participation is based on the revnue generated by a league not its total value. Union talk is silly anyway given that the fighters arent willing to do what they need to in order to organize.

                    I don't like Dana.

That said, I read both of the highest bids wanted Dana to stay on.

I knew it was only a matter of money and UFC would be sold. Honestly I'm surprised it didn't sell for 10 billion or more.

As much as I think Dana does things that hurts the sport, he is a good promoter and the mainstream press like ESPN and Fox love him.

Dana is the face of the UFC. I hate to say that, because I want him gone ASAP.

But I can certainly see why investers are only interested if Dana White stays onboard.

I wonder if it will bring any changes at all.

I'm not very knowledgeable on UFC but Dana seems to do a good job of promoting the sport and seems to make sure the fans see the fights that they want. That may be because UFC fighters don't appear to have the same individual bargaining strength as boxers and all UFC fighters are under one group. That allows them to keep salaries of the fighters under control(compared to boxers). Boxing has all those other federations to deal with (WBA,WBC, etc.) and everyone has a hand out.
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

UFC evidently sent a memo to its employees claiming it's not true
