Limited 2k17 News: Concerned or Patient?

We obviously had that 2kTV episode and some details on the Kobe edition, but we really haven't had many details yet and the game is two months away.

Maybe I'm just super anxious for this next season/game, but it does seem odd.

Maybe last year was an anomaly, but by this time last year we had all the following info/teaser info:

And to be clear, I am 100% getting the game no matter what. I love 2k. It just seems super weird to have almost nothing.

Very concerned.

Live has been delayed and 2k16 has been their most successful game regarding in sales.

Remember when Live announced pro am and a few weeks later 2k came out of nowhere announcing it too? (Which was a huge mess when the game was launched)

I have low expectations honestly, few tweaks here and there, same stuff with a different presentation and there you go, ship the game.

Neither Madden nor Fifa do that, they realease some info when the game is a few months away from its release.

Considering this game is dropping even earlier than last years, it is a bit strange. But also considering 2k doesn't have NBA Live info to counterattack at, I can see why they don't feel the need to push out info. But it would definitely be nice. I don't feel the same hype this year as I usually do. But obviously, that will change as soon as the first trailer drops.

Not concerned - Not surprised

This has been the trend ever since we entered the Next-Gen era. They all do this for the most part. Back in the days, we had all the information by now. Nowadays these companies are very strategic and stingy with the information they release. It has been like this for the last few years.

If you are a avid follower of sport games news, then you should have seen this coming.

Doesn't really bother me. As long as they actually add in some defense this year they can withhold info until the day before for all I care.

NBA offseason is soooooooo slow after most of the trades and signings have be completed.

I'm pretty 100% sure that most of their information release is in August anyways.

Not concerned at all. Most of the early news last year either came from leaks or was fluff (like soundtracks). The meat and potatoes didn't start until around Gamescon.

Assuming their marketing schedule is similar to last year, then I would expect some news at the end of the month (probably online mode news), then the major blogs (MyLeague/MyGm/MyPlayer) in another month or so and gameplay around the 1st of September.
