Realistic high potential trade targets
I have been thinking about realistic trade targets for all positions as I start to plan out my CFM. Would love to get a discussion going on **realistic trade targets. I typically think about this as someone who is not starting and is below 80 OVR (Maybe even 75 and below this year). Someone who could blossom if given the opportunity, but not someone that a team clearly would not currently trade.

Re: Realistic high potential trade targets
Wouldn't it be easiest to go through rosters and see which players have the ratings you're looking for, and trade for them? -
Re: Realistic high potential trade targets
uhh sure, but this is a forum where people discuss things..many players meet rating criteria, but not all meet the realistic trade scenario.

Re: Realistic high potential trade targets
I understand what a forum is, but it's an awfully specific thing you're looking to do. The theory of "Realistic" will vary based on each user. It's not like a sleeper thread or something very general. You're looking for linebackers who are good players, but "realistic" trade peices. Just see who you like, determine their value, and determine who can be had in your realm of realism.
Some people think all first and 2nd round picks aren't realistic trade peices. Some people thing everyone who isn't a high caliber QB is a realistic trade peice. Some people think trading for player with certain overall and under and realistic.
It's based on your theory of realistic.Comment

Titans WR Justin Hunter, he's on the outside looking in. Titans also have a few RBs like Sankey and Cobb. some of these guys could be roster cuts as well."Accept victory and defeat in equanimity"Comment

Re: Realistic high potential trade targets
I think older veterans on teams that start out terrible are realistic. Philip Rivers, Antonio Gates, Cutler for example. Say they start out 0-3 or 0-4 in your CFM. A team that started hot that believes themselves to be a QB away may pony up some picks for Cutler/Rivers. Other than that I think Josh Gordon is realistic as well. Maybe Mcfadden or Morris in Dallas.Comment

Re: Realistic high potential trade targets
Can only speak for my Vikings, but really the only person would be Jerrick Mckinnon. I think he's more of a really good number 2 than a starter, but you could work him up on Madden.
Vikings love him, but he's not untouchable like a Eric Kendricks or Danielle Hunter.Comment

McKinnon has amazing Madden ratings this year. High ball carrier moves, Carey, and speed.Comment

Kaepernick on the Niners. Watch his stats and if he doesn't perform, he's out.

Justin Hunter is a good personal friend of mine. Would hate to see him cut from the Titans!Comment

Re: Realistic high potential trade targets
As a Jets fan, I say Sheldon Richardson. They locked up Mo and have Leonard as the other guy. I can't imagine them extending Sheldon since you can't really fit all three guys in a base 3-4 since none are NT, so it makes more sense to allocate that money to other positions.Comment
