CPU/Sim Clock Management Fixed For Madden17?

This was a big bummer for me last year. If I wanted to just play one side of the ball, the clock management during the sim portion seemed totally askew.

If I were playing offense only, the CPU would have ToP of around 15:00 or less.

Anyone know if this has been addressed?

It's been fixed apparently, I asked this about 3-4 weeks ago and it was confirmed by one of the EA Twitter guys that it's been addressed and it won't take the opposition 75 seconds to run 9 running plays and go from one side of the field to the other.

This was my biggest worry too as it completely killed player career mode, as if it wasn't nearly dead enough as it was.

but, can we switch back and forth in a game and play offense for both teams - or is that still locked ?

I believe its still locked in Franchise mode, although I'd love to be told I'm wrong.

I hope they also addressed the cpu clock management during the end of half and end of game. Too many times I would see the cpu try to march downfield with 2 or 3 timeouts left and use none of them while running run plays and short passes over the middle. The logic was horrible in many instances. Or worse yet, let the clock expire while having timeouts left and in field goal range to win or tie.

I'm surprised not too many people talking about this. Pretty much a game breaker when the country can win the game with a field goal and timeouts left and they don't use a timeout. Can anyone who knows please confirm if this has been addressed please

This is why I gave up on it last year. Just killed it for me.

If this is confirmed then I might just make a pre-order purchase.

Was playing a preseason Franchise game and down late, on defense with no timeouts. 3rd down and the CPU should be able to wind the clock down but right as the game clock hits 1:00 they call a timeout. Not good to see this still happening.

This was a huge issue last year. Someone posted saying they no longer do that this year. Ugh...I hope it is either out or they patch it.

I've played 3 games, had the scenario occur for the cpu and havent seen that happen. Surprised to see someone say they did.

This has FINALLY been fixed. CPU drives now take 3-6 minutes off the clock when super simming.

What about when not super simming? In Play now or CFM?

Was playing Play the Moments but was controlling the defense at the time.
