Coach Mode Should be Kicker Mode

Coach Mode again you have to do all the kicking. Why doesn't EA ever fix this? This is not a true Coach mode.

Because the fact of the matter is virtually nobody plays coach mode. Even here on OS, y'all are a huge minority. EA has priorities.

I dunno. NFL Head Coach 09 was pretty huge here on OS.

Head coach, yeah sure, cause that game was super in depth. But madden is nowhere near in depth enough that I'm interested in just coaching.

Enough people play coach mode rich that they continue to leave it in as an option right? Only thing is they fail to work on it enough to improve it to alteast the standards of the NCAA series. Is that simply too much to ask of them?


Feros--In Madden 16 I would just sim to the next play when kicking & punting. You can't see it play out on the field but you wouldn't have to kick or punt yourself. Been busy so have not really had a lot of time w/ M17..

I play coach mode 75% of the time. A "true" coach mode would make it 100%.

Curious about how you guys call your plays when doing coach mode. Do you use coach suggestions? It's one of the reasons why i like cpu vs cpu so i guess it kinda simulates a coach calling the plays?

How do you guys do it?

I call my own plays too. I love to put in my game plan for my opponent week to week. If it wasn't for the kicking, the coach mode for Madden would be golden this year.

Qb scrambling could use some work too in my opinion,but generally really liking it.

I know how to make it so you don't have to kick your own punts, kickoffs, FG's and even PATs, while doing coach mode.

Edit: Sorry I should actually explain how to do this.

When the play comes up to kick, click on LS so it brings up supersim, then set it to SLOW and advance until change of possession so they'll do the kickoff etc. It will cpu v cpu the kick. And then you can go back to normal coach mode after by selecting "normal" instead of "slow" once again.

I may give coach mode another shot since during game planning you get a high level view of what your opponent's tendencies are.

Yea, the thing is...I got so used to cpu vs cpu mode that default sliders aren't really working for coach mode. The QB's are way too accurate. I gotta find new "coach mode sliders". lol

I've been trying my best to stay away from Sliders because I don't want to have a patch come and ruin what I was using. Ha

Plus, whenever I'm using some Sliders I second guess what I see on the field.
