I know most of y'all couldn't care less about MT and what happens over there but u can't be the only who thinks that even for "fairness" charging 20-40 bucks for a Kobe and Jordan card that is only a trial isn't a good move. And ik a lot of y'all are gonna say that you like it because it's OP to have them form the start like that but for me and a lot of guys who mainly play MT and invest a lot in the mode (including the extra 40 for the cards in the gold edition) this is a seriously not okay thing to do.

And if I'm wrong please don't crucify me but it was listed in the list of new things been added to the game for 2K17 thread.

And I'm also posting this here because this is a serious thing and it won't be seen in the MT board as it is as dead as a doorknob over there. If it needs to be moved so be it but I iust don't think this is something that can just "slip by"

The MyTeam card is just an added bonus IMO, I'm buying it mainly because I'm a Lakers fan and Kobe lover but also for the other goodies and VC they are giving.

I don't really see the issue with it, I don't think the MyTeam card is the main selling feature. The only issue I would ever have is if it was the only thing being offered with the $99.99 version.

I agree with you. I mean I wouldn't mind if we got a little lower rated Kobe but got to keep him instead of a dope Kobe that we can only have for 5-10 games.

It might not be for you but myself included it was not only as a huge Kobe fan but a person who plays MT ad the main mode those cards were a HUGE part of the decision to get the gold edition. It might not be You but I can name 30-40 people on my friends list who made that decision based on getting those cards. And I personably feel that 20-40 extra bucks go them being temporary is a serious breach of trust

You're paying 20-40 extra bucks for the VC + other things... Not for the temporary cards. The temporary cards are bonus. Don't see what the big deal is.

I play a ton of MT, pretty hard core with it, and these trial cards from the pre-order don't bother me. In fact, last year I was requesting a form of trial card come into the game, hopefully giving us opportunities to select different players to insert into our line ups for 5 games (offline only), allowing us to see how they fit into the rotation before buying them on the auction house. This is mainly to counter having to resell the player if we don't like them and take a hit with auction tax. Ultimately, I ended up creating a custom roster with my MT on it, and added and removed players I was thinking about buying, in order to test them in a scrimmage first.

My big attraction to the preorder bundles is the whole package of stuff, specifically, the large sum of VC that comes with. I use that VC to kick off my career attributes, buy some dunk packages/jump shot animations, tattoos, and maybe a few pairs of shoes. The rest I dump into my MT on packs.

I understand where you're coming from. It is a breach of trust. The preorder said Kobe free agent card, it never said trial card. If you bought the bundle on that pretext then it is false advertisement.

Yeah it's cool I hear you, I play MT a lot as well so I get it.

Should've just made it a rookie 80 rated Kobe or something like they've done in the past with other guys.

Had they announce that they would be temporary before that's if efferent but to not say that until a few weeks before the game comes out is not okay when you have people who make that decision to not only spend that extra 20-40 but to pay it for a item that they were led to believe is one thing only to do out right before they get it and they have already paid find out it's not the same

They said over a month ago that there would be temporary cards in MyTeam this year. If you're spending $40 for a MT card, that's your own problem.

For those who don't get it it's like someone selling you a car and saying for a extra 50% they will give you a turbo charger and a set of rims or something but once you make hat deal it can't be taken back and thinking its a great deal you take it only to find out after you get the car that the will come and remove the rims and turbo after a week.

No one would be okay with that hat so why is this okay

Saying that they will ah e temp cards I'm that game and saying that the cards that they are advertising S a preorder bunks being those temp cards are two VERY VERY different things

I'm definitely not pre ordering the gold/legend stuff if it's temp cards.

It will be cheaper to buy the standard edition and then purchase 30k VC from the menu

I just pre-ordered the Legends gold edition. It definitely feels like a ripoff. As a huge Kobe fan I don't know I just felt like buying it. Probably the last cover he is going to be on. Anyone know for sure that we don't get the early tip off extra 5k vc and Paul George myteam free agent card?

I would have preferred more VC than like 80% of the stuff they included. I do feel like the free agent cards are a huge ripoff when there was a permanent sellable Jordan last year. Free agent cards feel like something we should get for free to try out not something you are paying extra for.

I didn't buy any shoes or jerseys in NBA 2k16 because I never played MyPark. So all the shoes/jerseys I already don't care much about. Permanent myteam shoes maybe I would care. The physical stuff is eh. Couldn't we get a Kobe Funko POP or bobble head for $40 dollars over the basic edition? The lenticular cover insert and controller skin might be alright. Other video games might give you a cool statue for near $100. I believe 2k once gave a 2k inflatable basketball and earbuds for their $100 special edition.

Outside of being a Laker/Kobe fan I mainly ordered because I get $20 off with the best buy gamers club discount + a $10 gift card. And thought maybe the 100k VC is close to ok value. Obviously paying for virtual currency for a full priced game you might already consider a ripoff.

Yeah..well I try to figure out what I'm buying first, before I go ahead and buy it. Judging from the topic of the post; it's a pretty fair assessment that you don't have a ton of capital to be "investing" in virtual basketball cards. You've made a purchase without even knowing what you're buying and compound it by complaining to a bunch of strangers.
