During the regular season, I've noticed that players that were released by a team are not available in the Free Agency pool. What gives? Is this permanent or do they reappear in the off-season?

Are they low overalls? I think the FA pool still has a fairly low cap so if they're low overalls they're the first to get deleted when the pool fills up. It's more common after preseason though so I'm not sure why they'd disappear during the regular season.
