Has anyone seen these "thousands" of new animations?

I've seen a bunch of gameplay so far from all thse people that have the game early and I can't say I've seen too many new animations. Unless they're all coming in one the day one patch to keep people fron spoiling the game too early then... I don't think this 2k will be any different from the last one in terms of keeping us captivated for the whole year with minimum complaints.

I personally think that's because most of the gameplay we have seen comes from people who just shoot contested 3s after 10 fatigue inducing dribble combinations.

Haven't watched a lot but hoping the bumping is improved just can't wait for Friday and the prelude

I think you'll just have to play the game to see by yourself 'cuz people showing the game look like they don't know how to play it properly...
But when I heard they added "700" post-animations.. I mean.. C'mon...

Even watching the cpu play against the cpu it just doesn't add up. Reading and listening to gameplay blogs and the 2k community people that went out to play the game early really had me believing this would be the year but then I see a very identical product that doesn't show me what I'm reading and listening to lol. I guess we'll find out next week

Meh, as an online ranked/MyTeam player after seeing the gameplay my hype has sort of died down. I'm expecting online to be the same cheesy lead passing turbo fest it was last year. If it's not I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Offline looks freaking amazing though. Can't wait for MyPlayer.

Well.. An animation doesn't necessarily mean a whole scripted scene that plays out. It depends how many animations make up the sequence you seen a simple back down can contain 15 small animations for example. I even a half of a foot movement can he considered an animation. It's just about how many of those are in a few full sequence

A lot of those in that number are blending/transitional animations.. i.e. making the game look smoother. It's pretty noticeable in the dribbling to me.

I think a lot of their new animations are subtle, like transitional, fighting through picks and stuff, fighting down in the post, and rebounding animations.

Animations can be very little subtle things. Don't get too worked up on the numbers.
