How many people think the game will be bad?

With how the tone of the forum has changed in the past week I feel a lot of people have come out of the woodwork expressing their skepticism & disappointment about the game, it's features, and the lack of information that has been presented to us. All this negativity leads me to pose a few questions...

How many of you share the sentiment that the game will be bad or disappointing relative to your standards?

And how many of you have chosen to pass up on 2K this year?

    Sorry but this is pointless.

I'm interested to know because I've never seen such a large outcry against 2k. I just want to pick peoples brains.

I think the actual game itself will be amazing and have tons of replay value for me.

But some of the things myself and others complain about are visual things that sometimes can hurt immersion.

We have this beautiful basketball simulation that has trouble getting key visual stuff right sometimes and it can be frustrating.

The game will be fire though. 2K is still a great company at the end of the day.

Also for all the criticism, there is always tons of pushback from people who don't want anybody talking bad about 2K. So sometimes that can descend into little petty sneak disses, but we're all still getting the game.

Re: How many people think the game will be bad?

I expect the game to be great! I expect to get the same enjoyment out of the game this year as I did last year and in year's past.

I am liking everything that I've read and seen thus far. Each new feature announced only adds to my excitement for the game to come out. Very much looking forward to the 16th.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

This happens every year. No different than any other year.

Re: How many people think the game will be bad?

On the fence. The lack of consistent and proper info means I'll probably wait a few days at the very minimum to get a feel for what the game is like. Normally you can get a bit of an idea from the stuff 2K releases, but that's all rushed this year.

Gameplay will probably be fine with the usual issue or two that hurt the experience a bit.

It's not a must buy for me while CAPs totally ruin the MyLeague immersion and with there being not a great deal of change that interests me.

League Expansion is nice, but unless you're right into that sort of thing or want to recreate the NCAA or something, I feel like it's a bit of a novelty that will die off pretty quick.

Needed improved CAPS, and many more CPU improvements in MyGM/MyLeague for it to be a must buy. The fact that I have to spend so much time dealing with irrelevant crap in MyGM annoys me so much because I like some of its aspects more than I do MyLeague's.

I need a game mode to draw me in, and I'm not sure there is one. I always enjoy Play Now Online, but that gets tiresome eventually. MyCareer I enjoyed when it was offline and my buddies don't enjoy the park much, and MyLeague/MyGm for the most part sounds a hell of a lot similar in the way things will pan out, so all that nice gameplay is there, but I'm not sure if it's worth me upgrading for.

This is exactly how I feel. I understand people may find themselves disappointed because of some legacy issues and certain things that ruin immersion. But at the end of the day 2K has given us the best sports game each year for how many years?

I guess I'm just realizing this because this is my first year following the forum on a day to day basis before release.

Re: How many people think the game will be bad?

I think the game will be fine.

It's the forum that's bad this year.

Every little thing is a problem. There is an active thread right now where a user is complaining that he can't hear all the new sounds in the game within a very short clip. A number of users in that thread are calling 2K liars and what have you.

                        It's ridiculous.

I would not really have a problem with the criticisms if most of them were based on a user's actual experience with the game. Like how Shakedown mentioned that he saw a LOT of ankle breakers when he saw a preview of the gameplay. Stuff like that concerns me, but again I refuse to **** all over the efforts of the devs and 2K before I can fully experience the game for myself (as a PC user I have to wait until release but that's fine.)

I fully believe the game will be great. 2K16 wasn't perfect but I play the absolute **** out of it.

Yeah, I've never seen a year where the positivity/negativity scale was more than 60/40.

I think the game will be fantastic as usual.

However, the exclusion of relative shooting controls might be a game killer for me. For the 1st time since NBA 2K has been on PS, it won't be a day one purchase for me, and I may pass altogether.

I don't think it will be bad. Story in Career might be terrible but aside from that it'll be just as good as any of the current generation 2ks.
