Using Armor and Swords sliders, I am getting my Vikings butt whipped by the Titans 24-0. And we're not even finished with the first half.

Mariotta is somehow making 85% of his throws, and seems to always have the answer on third down. Even when I force 4th down, they're always close enough for a chip shot field goal.

They have 234 yards to my 61, and have more than double my passing and running yards.

I may as well hand it over on third down, since I'm 0-5 on 3rd down, and only have 2 first downs.

The obvious answer is that I should go down to Pro level from All-Pro. But the problem is that there's no sliders for Pro, because nobody plays on Pro. I'm almost convinced that I should just Play the Moment, or sim the entire game, since the computer can play better than I can.

Spend time in practice, learn the progressions on pass plays, learn to follow your blockers on run plays and lay off the turbo button until you hit the hole. Takes time

Most of the time when u use someone else's slider set you have to make adjustments to fit your style or ability. Maybe raise your QB accuracy 5 clicks

Actually, I forgot there was a turbo button, since I got so used to not having one when they removed it.

My advice would be to hit the skills trainer to learn how to beat different coverages, and adjust the sliders to your level of play.

Go for small yardage, but consistent plays. You can work your way down the field, use up clock and get the win.

Check out Playmakers sliders for Pro level. I've been using those and having a blast. Games are close for me at my skill level. I struggle on all pro.

This has been my experience in my single person CFM, was not an issue in all my play now games leading up to week 1 rosters.

Go run through all of the skill trainer drills. You'll learn how to make better playcalls, make reads on passing plays, and how to better defend certain types of runs.

What about default all pro? The game is made by the developers and balanced to give the most realistic game play on all pro with default sliders. Sometimes people need more of a challenge, or less, and that's why there are sliders and other difficulty levels. But sliders themselves are very individualized, because everyone's play style is very individualized. One persons sliders that give them "perfect" gameplay may be horrible for you.

So far this is been the most balanced all pro default sliders setting yet. Is it perfect? No. But its the hardest all pro in 20 years, so they are getting somewhere. This may take more time getting used to.

Play on default. If AP is still too hard, play pro. If thats too easy, play on play the moment to sim more of the game.

Is it your first game with those sliders? Maybe you just need a few games to get acclimated. I couldn't do diddly poo offensively my first few games on all pro without any sliders and this morning I just put up 33 points in a half

Not every down will give you points on offense.

I would bump up the qb accuracy a bit on offense and take up your ability to push through the offensive line on defence. Those are the ones I bumped up a few notches.
Titans is a pretty good team and should respond pretty well to some minor slider changes.

As for throwing with the Qb: Throw less long bombs, change up the playcall.
I can trick the AI with a few Play Action pass moves, but diversification is what gets you there.
I start choosing a run move and audible to a pass when I know I can get single coverage.

On that note:
Read coverages, The AI moves stuff around. A lot.
I get caught with CB blitzes more than I like to admit.

The AI can read tendencies far better with A&S all-pro. If you keep going back to the stretch play each game the AI will shut you down. If you keep throwing to the same WRs the AI will intercept you.
If you have a bad Offensive line, well then you are going to fumble on pass a lot. At least I do.

On defense:
The AI goes for the corners on the throw. On the run he uses the same tools you would use (stretch plays, toss plays etc.) and to full effect.
Make sure you got a playbook that protects against these tendencies.
Audble your plays on defense! cant say this enough. Its the best way to catch the AI off guard. I have made a few late audible to blitzes that have lead to fumbles and defensive points. But there is no certain tendency that works all the time.

Don't worry about sticking to someone else's slider set. Use one as a base sure, or use default as a base, and see what you don't think is coming out right. Can't run? Play with those sliders. Can't get pressure? Play with those sliders. It takes some time but after a few games you should have a personalized slider set that works for you. You'll tweak it over time as you get better at certain aspects of the game and that's ok. This is exactly why there are sliders.

Interesting, I thought it was Pro, not All-Pro that was designed for realistic gameplay. Or maybe that was to have more focus on ratings?

As for the OP, have you tried using A&S's sliders but setting it to Pro instead? It might end up being too easy then but could be worth a shot. Maybe try that and see which one you feel is closer to being a good fit and adjust from there.
