8 is definitely too high for this game. Did barely anything to improve itself and is weak in so many areas to begin with. I can see how casual hockey fans might like this game, but for hardcore hockey fans its garbage.

Have really enjoyed it so far. Plays very well IMO. Have only been playing EASHL games, but that's all I really play.

Good game, better then last years (however it won't let me into HUT at this moment). Nothing hugely changed just a lot of tweaks. The downside is there probably still a lot of tweaking needed, I'm assuming next year will have a big change somehow.

Don't change to a standard uniform in EASHL or you will get booted from club and won't be able to get back in.

This game after finding the right sliders is pure crack. I could never get into NHL 16...I could play this all day.

Can someone please elaborate on the AI as an opponent? I mostly play single player in Season mode so the AI makes or breaks for me.
I stopped playing after '15 because I never felt I was playing another team. It was the same AI wearing different team jerseys. No differentiation between teams nor players. Didn't matter if it was Chicago or Toronto, or Getzlaf or Joe Schmoe from 4th line. Every goal scored was something you saw coming after some tic tac zip passing that felt faster than normal play, or the same deke in the slot with a snap shot. |

This is the first NHL game I've bought since 2004. I love it but man they need a skills trainer like Madden badly. I had to Google how to.win face offs and passing I've started to learn the passing mechanics, it's a bit frustrating but still fun as hell.
