low shots on 20 minutes a lie or myth or fact

Did EA Sports just lie to us again , at the beginning of the year they said low shots and low goals on 20 minute periods, I went and checked it after the patch, all goal totals were very high and very high shots, I still had like 17 shots in first period, goal totals were also high like 4-4 in first period, what do you guys think ?

I just created a BaP tonight and had it on Pro difficulty, playing in WHL. 20 minutes and realistic settings. Half way through the first period it was 5-1 already. I quit and started over on All-Star. I'm not sure if the difficulty in BaP is just for you or overall AI increase, but on All-Star the scoring was better throughout the game but shots were still pretty high.

im using altitos sliders. i have hit power at 5 though.
playing 8 min periods shots and stats are perfect for me on allstar.

imagine if you mess with sliders and play a patient game its def possible this year. first time ever in a hockey game.
especially hard for a hockey game seeing how the rink is small compaired to players and you can just shoot at will if you want.

am also referring too, franchises and season and playoff mode and play now's, 20 minute periods, where you control the whole team, is it possible yet, cause last time I played in franchises 20 minutes, the shots 'we're' awfully high, I think I had like 17 shots in first period in franchise mode, And I thought they said they fixed that, I wonder if he was referring to Be A Pro Mode then .

I just played a game against Anaheim and only allowed 13 shots in franchise. It's doable, but you have to make the puck super loose and turn down the shot accuracy sliders. It was 10 min periods, so if you double it that makes 26 SOGs.

As someone that likes to play 20 min periods, this has been my number one issue to tackle in NHL 17. Being a stack freak, playing 20 minute periods for my franchise hinges on the stats being good, otherwise I'll have to adjust my period length.

I've been using AlTitos sliders and have hope that it is doable. On Allstar I was giving up around 15 shots a period and getting 10-12 for myself. I know the CPU numbers are high, but I have been away from the series since NHL 11, so my defense is trash. My shot numbers have been trending up as I play more so I figured I would up the difficulty. Also, one thing to note, all those loose pucks that make their way to the goalie count as a shot on goal, so keep that in mind. I don't know if those count in real hockey? Tonight I upped the difficulty to superstar from all star. I gave up a bit too many shots, again poor defense and a lot of penalties. But I had an absolute nightmare getting good shots on, really had to work for it, so I was very pleased with that.

So in closing, is it possible? I think so, just gonna take some fine tuning with the sliders I think. However I think it's really close now and it's a matter of my skill to get the numbers right. I really hope I can play 20 minute periods and not have to go for 10.

thank god I ain't only one with this issue, I wonder why they advertised, '20 minutes realistic shots and low goals' makes you wonder if that's just marketing ploy to get us to buy it, like why would they tell us one thing and we get the game and it ain't even possible .

What is everyone's aggressiveness settings at? I've noticed the cpu shoot less the lower it is. If you put it low the defense doesn't buzz as much and the offense doesn't cycle as much. I've noticed they try to deke a lot more.

I've started to use aggressiveness: CPU: 100 / Human: 100, I like it, least am more aggressive now .

oh that help's , maybe they'll patch it in through out the year, am just awaiting for the day I'll get to play 20 minutes .
