Next Year no excuses. Pro Am needs a BETA TEST

2 years in a row. 2 YEARS. and the newest 2k comes out with its Teamplay mode Broken to the point of being unplayable by squads/ Friends.

how are more people not mad at this? its like 2k really learned nothing from last year's mess. how hard is it to put out a 1 week beta test so you can fix the mode in time for the game's launch. the prelude should have came out weeks before WITH pro am as a beta attached to it.

NHL for the past 2 years has had a beta for it teamplay mode (EASHL) and it worked out very well and i think the game has released with no problems as they updated the game mid beta. along with Fifa this year. Why cant 2k do this?

Next year if pro am comes back, there needs to be a beta. no more being secretive. all that does is cause broken releases in primetime. when we should be having fun playing the game, instead of crying about it after we spent 60/80/100

I think it would help them sell more copies to people that play the open beta too.... people are more forgiving when stuff is broken during the beta too.

true points. this would be free promotion for 2k for people on the fence. and will help them fine tune one of their popular game modes from the start. and hell a few cheese moves may get fixed along the way.

but yea. if this was happening in a beta people really would be taking it better. rather than for the 2nd year in a row

What exactly is the problem with pro am? I haven't opened my copy of 2k yet because I thought there ma be all sorts of problems like last year.

if you try to play with your friends in a pro am game, no one (or your whole team) wont make it in with you without trying for a good while.

playing walk ons with your friends is almost impposible

Not to even mention..winning games is not progressing your team in pro am..
we are 11-1 and still amateur..Also if someone quit at the beginning of the game they wont get the loss or the other team the win.

Exact same problems as last year. I guess I'll wait until they fix these things before I open up my copy. That's just very frustrating.

Pro-am is deadset broken.

Because I made a Pro-am team, I can now not go on the free agent list to play in my friend's teams.... and vice versa.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I can't find the option to go FA after making up a team. There is also not an option to delete the team..... essentially, the pair of us can't play pro-am together this year now. Unless there is an update to fix it.

I don't recall seeing any warning telling me that can't play in someone else's team if I create my own.

We stuck doing the walk-on thing, hoping to get on the same team because as the OP says, it doesn't take squads through together.

It's broken and needs a patch asap.

2K prefers this approach with $70 beta and then maybe patch in the full game a month or so later. Maybe.

And in the drop in games. I've played 8 in a row and none counted for record or stats every game starts full and end with only 3 or 4 real players with AI and record and stats don't count

I hate to say it but this is exactly what I expected to happen. I've been playing crew/pro am since 2k11; and every year at launch now it is the same thing. I would not be surprised at all if pro am is not fixed for a while. Last year in 2k16 it was several months before we could reliably run pro am.

They prol need a beta test, but they also need to hire some of the 'top ballers' from the game and have them play like 1 month in the summer or something. haha. Pay them like 500 dollars. Make it a contest, if you put in work on 2k, you might win this chance to balance test park/pro am.

No dev guy or even hired dev players are going to be able to simulate what it's actually like, and the mindset of these guys. I dunno why... but it just never works in any game. You need actual dudes who play this game 24 7 to balance it.

Or just let the first month or so be a test for competitive online. But that's not ideal.

To me, I'd like it working and balanced.

after 1.05 i think this needs to be put on notice again as a reminder for next year since the SAME STUFF IS STILL HAPPENNING
