Fifa 17 AI doesn't seem too smart
 

I can just get the ball and run vertically up and down the field by my own goal and the AI just follows me or stops. If they happen to get close I just do a vertical pass that they can't stop either. Any difficulty. Just run out the clock.

It depends. If AI needs to score, you are correct. If they don't, it's the opposite... Play the objective and stop fooling around.

When you play a FPS you just hide and expect AI to find and kill you? I guess not...

As much as I play FIFA, I can freely admit that the AI is awful on the game

PES has the better AI, FIFA has better online and presentation

FIFA AI "may" not be as good as PES, but their AI is not awful (((rolling eyes))) .People just love using hyperbole :-)

FIFA 17's AI is a bit bizarre, after they score they become very greedy and push harder and they end up scoring more goals sometimes.

It depends on the context and strength of the teams. If you are facing a better team it's logical that they continue to be offensive even when already winning. If not it becomes boring and unrealistic.
