Assistance Icons When Rushing the QB
 

When rushing the QB and being blocked, assistance icons display, showing what button to press. Am I supposed to press the button once, press and hold, or mash the button quickly and repeatedly?

It's a combination. It's time based and also use the left stick to control. If you keep pressing it without timing it, you'll get jammed.

I hope we'll see the return of user-controlled swim, spin and bull rush moves in the future. Just not a fan of these QTE for pass rushing.

It kinda sucks you dont get those popups on all madden mode. I dont really know how much they matter, I think its more like a suggestion than anything. Ive beaten guys with finese moves when its telling me to do a bull rush.

It's really hit or miss, sometimes I'll escape the block and then others I'll get completely pancaked even when timed right.

Even though I play football 80% of my video game time, I'm not what you'd call "good" at it. So, I would've thought I'd like the assistance. But it is so difficult to master, it's not a lot of help.

I'm a lot better in practice. I get to the game, and it's a lot more miss than hit for me.
I have found that if I hit the RT perfect, my shots of doing the X or A well increases.
