I have been having the issue that almost every time I bring in a relief pitcher, even though it says he is warm in the Bullpen screen, when I try to pitch with him the pitch meter is uncontrollable for a battler or two, sometimes several, as if he has no confidence and energy. s this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?

I've had this happen to me as well. If you pause the game and then unpause it the meter will reset itself and work correctly again. At least it does when I have this issue.

I shall have to try this. Just blew a 4-3 lead in the 9th because Ronden walked the first two batters he faced due to this issue, then gave up a 1 out 3-run HR to the a lefty he otherwise should not have had to face.Comment

Had the same issue for a long time, someone told me the way to fix is to bring up the bullpen menu then return to game. That has worked for me since then.Comment

That should do it. For some reason when you bring up either menu, pause or bullpen, it fixes it thankfully. Luckily I can usually tell it's going to happen during the warm up pitches.

This has been a bug for the past 2 or 3 iterations from what I recall. I haven't investigated why exactly it happens, I think it may be related to using the schedule to put in next inning option when the relief pitcher is warm. As others have said, to fix it either pause the game, step off the mound, or press Up on the D-Pad to bring up the quick menu. Hopefully they get this fixed finally for MLB 17, I'm not really sure why they haven't over the past few years and hopefully their QA has been reporting this issue each year (which probably gets WNF'd late in the project).Comment
