All we want is realistic fouls.

Every year it's the same. What will it take to have consistently realistic loose ball, over the back and illegal screens?

They occur constantly in real NBA games but are so rare with 2K. I've attempted to max the sliders and even push player badges to hall of fame level for rebounding, enforcer and bruiser...to no avail.

If anyone knows how to force the frequency on these fouls please share!! THANK YOU.

that s the only real problem of the game, also in the past year
every game should have from 17 to 22 fouls by team, and every team should try from 20 to 30 free throws by game

i see that shooting fouls are ok
there are too rare NON shooting fouls

need a patch, sliders/roster can t do so much

I'm just the opposite as I think there are too many shooting fouls. I do agree that loose ball fouls, illegal screens, etc are not called enough

The shooting fouls SLIDER actually works. Just lower it. Over the back and Looseball sliders DO NOT. AS ALWAYS.

In particular reaching fouls are ok, shooting ok, blocking close, the other not

Yes. The LB and OTB are linked to the rebounding, which is a damn mess as always.

it all depends on the game for me. I have games where the fouls are high but I also had games where the fouls were very low or just perfect.

Hello mate, the loose ball and over the back foul slider behave like 2k16. Max out this sliders will not raise a lot the foul calls. It effect also other type of fouls so you see less calls for other foul type. It seems that the foul sliders are not corrected this year. It's only the gameplay changes (features) in 2k17 that more foul calls occur in the game.

My problem also is the charging fouls. I see a lot blocking fouls especially from cpu. But charges are too rare. With my actual slider I see constantly a charge for a team or for both, but not more than one for both side. I see also loose ball and over the back but the amount varies from match to match. Need more testing but it's sure that the foul sliders are not the only one that effects fouls. The difficult thing here is to get a good variation of foul calls. I can force non shooting fouls like blocking reaching to get real stats, but it kill for me the gameplay cause it's not realistic and you will not see other type like loose ball OTB and charges.

Haha hello Ram. Our annual tradition continues. I'm ok with fouls other than LB , OTB & screens. Can you let me know how to increase those?

I had more than 15 game's now and don't see any illegal screen yet. How y see the balance between charging and blocking fouls? WhIch set for foul sliders do you use?

Re: All we want is realistic fouls.

See, people don't get that you have to be more open to your verbage.

"Realistic" and one's PERCEPTION of what is realistic are two incredibly different things.

                        For example:

Perception: "The league used to be so much more physical than now. Nowadays you breathe on a player and he gets a whistle. Soft league!"

Reality: The last 5 years AND COUNTING of the NBA we've seen the LOWEST FT Attempts averaged Per Game in the history of the league.

Ergo, if you were playing prior to the last 5 years, you would've gotten MORE calls.

Hell, Jordan's most recent year of getting the lowest calls of his championships, is still 12 spots OUTSIDE of this past 5 years lol.

But that's not the narrative the sheep want you to follow.

Anywho, I get 20+ FTA's a game on average, so I feel pretty comfortable in what's being called. Yes I would love for more loose ball fouls etc, but if the FTA's are where they're at I can over look it.

Re: All we want is realistic fouls.

Still running tests and finding the right balance of user mistake/2k game screwing you out of winning so really just a combination of others right now.

My advice is use the sliders as a STARTING POINT. But then go into each individual player's attributes: draw foul attribute.

THEN, go into each individual player's tendencies: Commit foul tendency.

(Or vice versa every slider/roster head has their own way of doing it)

So, on a level, we are in control of a whole hell of a lot. All this "The game is broken" garbage is really a cop out for adjusting the game to your individual reflection of "real life" and/or "sim basketball". Too many transition 3's? You can either lower 3pt tendency slider... or you can go into each players "Pull Up Transition Tendency" and adjust that. Or both. It's laziness to just complain.

We have somewhere around 30 sliders we can adjust for BOTH our team and our opposition. Along with 80-ish Attributes, 30-40+badges we can alter AND their effectiveness, AND 80-ish individual player Tendencies. Lol we are given everything we need to make the game WE want. Let alone playbook adjustments, player play-type adjustments, all before the ability to edit ACE is hopefully put back in.

The problem I'm running into right now is Star players fouling out (including myself). So, I'm not really seeing too many low foul call issues haha. I'd rather start with too many than too low. But my problem is Star's need to be in the game... however they need to be held accountable when they foul. Tricky.

You can try and max out sliders, player tendencies, attributes and badges and it makes zero difference to trigger loose ball, over the back and illegal screens.

That is BROKEN gameplay and it's been this way for years.
