Chris Smoove's new video about double teaming and MyCareer issues
https://youtu.be/lF2vc1S5X9U Love that he made this video - and as always he is among the top in smartest basketball YouTubers - but I find something he complained about unnecessary. He says they forced us to make role players - well that may be the case caps wise but it's not the case stats wise. He still dominates - so much that it's the reason I've stopped watching his my career videos. It's not a challenge for him anymore - it's predictable. And yet he complains about limitations? Come on. If he and everybody else would be role players - they wouldn't be dominanting more than nba stars. 2k made It so we are basically legendary at our specialty. And that's balanced. Unlike the 99 legendary at everything bs. I just don't see the fun in being good at everything.

Chris Smoove's new video about double teaming and MyCareer issues
Thank you Chris, for saying what everyone else has been saying for a while now. 2K has obviously nerfed MyCareer for the benefit of E-Sports and its absolutely ruined what was a great mode, year in and year out. 2K needs to completely separate the modes next year and restore MyCareer without the archetypes or stat caps and buckets so everyone can play in peace. Let Pro Am be it's own thing. -
Re: Chris Smoove's new video about double teaming and MyCareer issues
It is hard to fathom what on earth they were thinking....
Not only is it illogical D, it basically means an open dunk non stop from the assist. Literally, double team-pass out-pass to the unguarded post guy- dunk...non stop.Comment

Re: Chris Smoove's new video about double teaming and MyCareer issues
I already posted this but I messed up the title. So it's all good. I disagreed with smoove on calling archetypes "role players". Reason being - we still dominate. He dominates himself and has for years. His my career videos used to be entertaining for me because it was more challenging back then. Now he wins every game. So I don't see the need to call archetypes role players. They are Elite specialists who can still dominate in multiple aspects.

It's cuz it's prolly the first time they have been really good at a game and they are stuck on that high haha.

Disagree - I just said above you can still be a legendary player regardless of these caps - I'm simply referring to him calling archetypes role players. Again if they were role players nobody would dominate. I welcome the 99 everything easy mode. I just disagree these limitations are as drastic as people make them seem. People are out here every year getting Goat numbers easily in their rookie year and somehow - we are role players. OK.

Re: Chris Smoove's new video about double teaming and MyCareer issues
Actually if you write down your attributes and then create a player with those attributes, they come out to be like a 70-something. We really are just graded out as role-players. Now, we as the user can easily over come that limitation by knowing how to use our characters but realistically we are nothing more than bench players, which I feel is a total rip-off as someone that doesn't like to play online sports games.I already posted this but I messed up the title. Re: Chris Smoove's new video about double teaming and MyCareer issues
Surprisingly, to me at least, he's been putting them on blast this year. Deservedly so, mind you.
I really wish they would do 2 different titles. One for online modes and one for offline simulation basketball. I think trying to keep both sets of people happy is near impossible. Balancing things, or adding and removing things, game play dynamics, etc for online play is not the same as making the simulation experience for offline players. Sadly online is where the money is at (which I'll never understand since the majority of online play I see is arcade NBA jam - esque) so I know my wish isn't coming true. Chris doesn't say this, but I have felt it for years, and this video sure does help my argument.Comment

Re: Chris Smoove's new video about double teaming and MyCareer issues
Eh - I disagree - if it doesn't affect performance it hardly matters IMO. I hope they make a separate offline do whatever you want my career ofc. I've never seen the fun in being good at everything though - and we all still dominate. So to me it's not as big a deal as people make it seem. But hey I guess 99 everything - Goat numbers - blowout games - eventually get bored because it's repetitive and non challenging. It's fun for some. Sorry if I sound ignorant. Just what I honestly feel. Regardless it should be an option. I just disagree with the role players comment and I feel it's an exaggeration. Just my opinion.Actually if you write down your attributes and then create a player with those attributes, they come out to be like a 70-something. We really are just graded out as role-players. They could make a 2k park game that has season passes, map packs and add ons and all the other stuff that goes with it.Surprisingly, to me at least, he's been putting them on blast this year. Deservedly so, mind you.

Not saying 99 everything. It's just not really fair to the offline community that we are handcuffed to the stat caps as well.Eh - I disagree - if it doesn't affect performance it hardly matters IMO. For example; I made a Slashing SF. I like that my attack the basket ratings can be high and most of the rest are average but it's ridiculous that I'm forced to be a terrible 3pt shooter with a max rating of 58 because I picked a specific arch-type.
I think the arch-type should make those specific stats relevant to the build cheaper while other categories should be more expensive. Unfortunately though that won't happen while MyCareer is attached to MyPark/ProAM."I'm all about that action, boss." - Marshawn Money Lynch
