Re: Kicking back to automatic, why?
JayD, stop everything you're doing... I read they FIXED AUTO SUBS in the last patch.
I MUST TEST!!! -
Re: Kicking back to automatic, why?
I thought it was already automatic. in my first season straight out of the box I went 21 for 21 with Cody Parkey. Im disappointed they made it easier - but its what a lot of people did want (many complained about the kicking) so maybe it was the smart thing to do.Comment

Re: Kicking back to automatic, why?
It's ridiculous. They need to give the sim players a slider that works. It's broken though. Anything under 30 is an auto shank and everything above 30 is always good. It's a shame that in 2016 we have these issues. News flash EA field goals and do are not automatic in the NFL. How can we get a fix to this? Game killer in. My opinion.
What really grinds my gears is that this is vintage EA bait and switch. I would have never bought the game if fgs were automatic. It's been killing the game for years. But I did my due diligence. I asked the questions, read the reviews and had confirmation that there was a new kicking mechanic and missed fgs and xp. Now they killed it to appeal to the online whined crowd who doesn't want realism. I want a refund.Last edited by fistofrage; 10-04-2016, 06:31 PM.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

Re: Kicking back to automatic, why?
Lets not forget that the special teams sliders are STILL universal in CFM. Even if we wanted to make kicking tougher for the user we can't due to it effects the CPU even more. It's ridiculous. JayD didn't report back from his answer from Clint on Twitter:It's ridiculous. They need to give the sim players a slider that works. It's broken though. that's not what our metrics are showing,
So, instead of shaking your fist or finger at EA, blame the people who don't practice enough with the new mechanic.
JD followed with a question about adding a slider in the future to slow down or increase the kick meter:
Clint's response:
I would really like to!
Mason Crosby has missed 4 XP's his entire 9 plus year career and was perfect last year and is currently perfect.
He is also currently a 80%FG kicker. I mentioned a missed a 55 yarder into the wind at Lambeau after the patch. That isn't automatic to me.
Just my thoughts.Comment

Re: Kicking back to automatic, why?
If anyone has access to ea please tell them their fga slider is broken. If they have to make easier for the 13 year olds online at least give me the option to customize my game.JayD didn't report back from his answer from Clint on Twitter:

I'm not even sure why they changed the kicking mechanic if the end game was to have automatic field goals.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

Clint made it very clear, they go by numbers and metrics. If the NFL averages are off, they will change things up to get close to the NFL avgs.
It doesn't matter if it comes from 13 year old onliners or 40 year olds.Comment

Re: Kicking back to automatic, why?
And i would say, when your pulling data from all these kids ( or adults) who dont take time to practice the new feature, and are just missing because they suck at it because they have not practiced it, is NOT a legit reason to nerf it. But that is what happens so often in this game, and is just sad.Comment

Re: Kicking too easy after nerf?
nope played in the rain and missed 4 fg's and an XP with Haushka, who is one of the best kickers in the league.

Re: Kicking back to automatic, why?
Can you tell Clint the slider is broken and see if at minimum they can look into that. That is not disputable. I'm not sure how people are missing field goals but that's a different issue.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

Re: Kicking back to automatic, why?
I don't get or like this either. It also goes against exactly what Rex talked about in his interview where he said he talked the higher-ups out of leaving the older, easier method in the game because it defeats the purpose of the feature and I think making it easier and easier does that as well. Obviously they're going off metrics and numbers but I feel like those numbers aren't a good indicator simply because online can produce wildly different results because of a number of factors. If I played online matches I'd probably undoubtedly miss field goals but pre-patch I could go into practice and nail every 60-yarder I attempted with a kicker rated almost 20 points lower on accuracy than every kicker in the game with ease, and now it's even easier? This is why it's so important to have options and sliders that work correctly to counteract this type of thing and cater to as many people as possible.Comment

Re: Kicking back to automatic, why?
He's already told JayD that he's interested in a slider that has an option of going fast or slow.
If you think it would help, I will, but he's already leaning that way?
Based on Clint's answer that he's interested in such a slider, I doubt anything would come of it with this Madden.Last edited by roadman; 10-04-2016, 11:41 PM.Comment
