    Mid-season tier rankings

I will try to update these at the beginning, middle and end of each season.

Tier rankings are a mixture of user skill and team talent. The order within a tier is not significant. Without further ado..

    Tier 0 - The Pedastool
    Steelers - Troy
The Steelers are looking like the team to beat this year. They are putting up insane stats on both sides of the ball and remain undefeated. We could be looking at the first undefeated season in HAWFL.

    Cardinals - Jordan TRENDING DOWN
The Cardinals sitting pretty at 7-1 but lost to the division rival Seahawks and narrowly escaped a scrappy Panthers team. Injuries have mounted the last few weeks, but if they can get healthy for the playoffs, watch out.

    Jags - Arlen
This defense is the real deal. Hide yo' kids, hide yo' wife cause this defense will take everything away from you. The offense is coming around too.

    Seahawks Vanwolfhawk PROMOTED
The Seahawks are the real deal. The defense comes in at a modest 97OVR and stifles opponents. With the inside track to take the division, this team is primed for a championship run.

Tier 1 - The Legs of the Pedastool
    Chiefs - Dan DEMOTED
As injuries continue to mount, so do the losses. A loss against the Raiders was especially surprising. Still expect this team to make the playoffs where they may make a surprise run.

    Broncos - Auto
The Broncos looked to have finally rebounded after some mid-season struggles. The battle for the division title will surely be fun.

    Texans Rff TRENDING UP
The Texans have been lighting defenses on offenses, but the schedule has been Charmin soft thus far. A couple games versus the Jags will decide who takes the division and has the inside track on the championship.

    Falcons GreatnessTRENDING UP
The Falcons can ball. A close loss to the Broncos was followed up with big win against the Seahawks. Games against the Cardinals and Chiefs will determine if they reach tier 0 status in the coming weeks.

    Bills - Sir Felgar
Sir Felgar is back and looking solid. This team could end up with 12 wins and the division title, but can they make a legitimate run for the Superbowl? I say no.

    Cowboys - Raider
Cowboys are still rolling. The schedule is a cake walk so this is the week to prove it they are the real deal going against the Steelers.

Tier 2 - The Floor the Pedastool Stands On
    Raiders - sagebusPROMOTED
The Raiders are starting to turn the ship around. A playoff appearance still looks unlikely given the brutal schedule. Going against these top teams should help in the long term. Steel sharpens steel.

    Bucs - Moz
The Bucs are sitting at 4-4 and have a tough schedule remaining. The playoffs are still in sight.

    Panthers - RyanRainTRENDING DOWN
Close losses have plagued this team and they stand at 2-6. They can play with most anyone, but need to learn to pull out the W when things are tight.

    Bengals - Mattraq
This team has some big time wins and has played other top teams tough, but there are some head scratching losses as well. In the stacked AFC, that means not making the playoffs.

    Redskins - canniestbardTRENDING UP
I think we found the other NFC wild card team. Overtaking the Cowboys for the division will be hard, but the playoffs are looking very likely, as well as some award hardware for impressive QB Kirk Cousins.

    Packers Hskr TRENDING DOWN
Still fighting off relegation, the Packers sit a 4-4. Close wins and losses do not inspire much confidence, but this team can still sneak into the wild card.

Tier 3 - The Dirt Under the Floor of the Pedastool
    Eagles - Finley PROMOTED
Since the 61-0 drubbing, the Iggles have won 3-5 and looked decent against a couple playoff teams. This team is on the upswing.

    Titans spartanstatePROMOTED
The Titans are looking pretty solid and sit at 5-4. Some close wins do not inspire great confidence however.

    49ers - Zcar PROMOTED
The Niners have been playing solid but the talent is severely lacking. A couple drafts will greatly bolster this squad.

    Ravens - Arman DEMOTED
The Ravens are sitting at 2-6 and playing poorly on the defensive side of the ball. What is going on in Baltimore?

    Saints - Seranwrap/BrandonDEMOTED
The Saints followed a hot 3-1 start with 4 straight losses. Star WR Brandin Cooks has been injured hurting the offense greatly. Playoffs are looking like a long shot.

    Colts - Albert
At 2-6, the playoff dreams are dashed, but this team can play! Many of their losses are by less than one score. Keep on fighting.

    Chargers - Isaiah
At 3-6, this team is already looking toward the draft and upsetting other teams playoff chances. Look for great strides in this team come season 3.

    Jets - Guitardaddy
A brutal opening schedule had this team sitting at 0-6 but they have won 2 of the last 3. An easy schedule lies ahead. Look for a 6 win season from the Jets.

    Dolphins - Bmoreirish
At 3-5, the Phins have not impressed. They will fight to finish at .500.

    Vikings - BigK
At 4-4, the Vikings are hanging around. They could sneak into the wild card, but don't expect much noise from them if they do.

    Giants - houndsofhowl/iBo
The close losses continue to mount as the G-men have dropped 4 straight. Go ruin the Steelers or Cowboys season please.

    Rams - ImapenguinTRENDING UP
The Rams started very bad, but just reeled off 3 straight wins against solid teams. The team still needs some talent, but has some great pieces to work with.

Tier 4 - The Worshippers at the Base of the Pedastool
    Browns - Aku
The Browns are looking strong in their defeated quest. You can expect a win versus this team no matter who you are.

    Lions - ??
New owner in Detroit, same results. Lions have their eye on the number 2 pick.

    Bears - TuffDawg TRENDING UP
The Bears continue to look bad against a soft schedule. Trouble in Chicago.

    Patriots - bumblebee
The Patriots are still...sucking. A 5 win season is looking like the best case.

    Re: Mid-season tier rankings

Great write up! I had a chance to catch a Jags game over stream this past week and their defense was impressive. Great user D! If that's tier 0 I'm not there yet... :-)
