Petition to EA to work on and discuss the timeline on a CFM companion app or website
A Madden CFM companion app is said to be coming in the future, but there has been no updates/timetable as to when it will be ready. We believe a native mobile should be a high priority, because it would allow the Madden CFM community to interact with Madden when they're away from their consoles. There are many elements to a successful CFM, such as recruiting members, stat tracking, and roster management. A companion app/franchise mode website would solve those, along with a dynamic element that is missing from CFM.

Re: Petition to EA to work on and discuss the timeline on a CFM companion app or webs
I'd sign a petition for THIS:
http://www.operationsports.com/forum...e-rebuild.html
Not so much for an app. Much rather the game was BETTER than slightly more convenient. Especially since we have websiyes that already do these things.https://forums.operationsports.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2049813056Originally posted by Therebelyell626I am going to create a team called "the happy town fundament rapscallions" and hurt your already diminishing image

Without a source like the old CFM website, to scrape the stats from, DL can't provide it's services.
Thanks for posting this, OP. Hope we can get some word very soon

Pretty sure that they are aware that many of their customers are wanting the companion app. Petition on, but not sure what effect, if any, that this will have.Comment

Re: Petition to EA to work on and discuss the timeline on a CFM companion app or webs
Because it isn't. People arent asking for something to be done in a split second, which is kinda how the video portrayed things. If this was started so long ago, as EA claims, then people want it done before they are done playing CFM this year. Because its a feature we had for the last numerous years. So please climb down off your high horse. People have a right to want this done for the product they thought they were getting, based on what they have gotten for years now. No one ,has said, it should and could be done overnight. But if they are struggling with it, maybe they need to put more people on it, thats what most jobs would do in real life.
Absolutely not. Why? Because what DL already does it better than what whomever EA had making their website before could do.DL understands alot better what the CFM Community wants , and provides it better than EA did. If DL could operate without that app, no one would care a thing about it.Which is why this is so frustrating to people right now, and regardless of what some may think, the frustration is justified.
Do i actually think the petition will help? No , because EA clearly isnt going to put anymore into it than they already are. They wont be throwing more money towards getting this done than whatever amount they already are. However, im not gonna try to put someone down for trying a democratic type way to get their attention in some hope that they will give some kind of update or something at this point. I really dont understand how anyone can think thats such a bad thing or that people doing such are just spoiled kids. Customers have a right to want something in a product that they have had.Last edited by howboutdat; 10-18-2016, 10:03 AM.Comment

Re: Petition to EA to work on and discuss the timeline on a CFM companion app or webs
People creating a petition that demands EA To work on an app and discuss their timeline is EXACTLY what that video was talking about. People want answers and capabilities and they want them now. We can't just appreciate the game or any game. It's always "Yeah it's fine, BUT WHAT ABOUT THIS? WHY IS THIS NOT DONE OR PERFECT?"Because it isn't. It's beyond ridiculous. Would I like an app? Sure. It'd be nice to have. But the extent that some are going to and the amount it bugs them is ridiculous. Constructive criticism? Fine. Suggestions or just wishing like, "Wouldn't it be cool if it had X and Y?" Great.
Creating a petition? Utterly absurd.Comment

Actually, thanks for that response, proves my point. No where are they DEMANDING anything ,its a collective statement , please read it :People creating a petition that demands EA To work on an app and discuss their timeline is EXACTLY what that video was talking about. "
Nowhere in that does it say , we damand you make this and release it today. It clearly states the facts of this situation. It does ask for an update if we can at least know can we expect it out this year, or not this year. That not a demand either, they are asking a reasonable question and in a polite manner.
There has not been any real updates other than the first " we are working on it" , which actually its never even been acknowledged by EA anywhere that it will be out for madden 17, which is what has people on edge about it.
" At launch of Madden NFL 17, there will not be a Franchise Mode website for you to go to and interact with your league. As for a POTENTIAL Companion App – we are STILL EXPLORING THE POSSIBILITIES and will be quick to update you as and when information becomes available."
That doesn't really read to many people as, "we will get one out this year".They are just trying to show EA, in an organized manner, that this is very important to online leagues and that it needs to be a priority. If companies dont like to hear from their customers, maybe they should not open lines to do so. Its a valid issue for people who only buy madden to play in online leagues. It is taking alot of steam out of our leagues not having this . We are almost 2 months after launch , and they wont even breathe a word about it, so the silence , on top of not actually acknowledging it will even be out this year, has alot of guys on edge about it.Thats not asking anything unreasonable.Last edited by howboutdat; 10-18-2016, 01:09 PM.Comment

We already have a thread discussing the lack of a Franchise companion app, please feel free to drop the petition link in there if it hasn't already been posted by someone else: http://www.operationsports.com/forum...excusable.html
