I saw where this was included in one of the patches. Does anyone know how it actually works? This would be awesome for me.

Just quit the game. And it automatically takes you back to the main menu outside of CFM. -

I do believe you lose your interceptions just like last year though. I had 3 in the first half quit the game and resumed later and got 1 more but the individual stats just showed 1 interception for my players at the end of the game.Comment

Yep just quit. I generally pause the game, exit to the dashboard, then quite the Madden app from there. You start back up from where you left off. If you attempt to play any other mode though, before finishing your game, it lets you know your game save will be lost.
Have had no issues with this feature, i only quite between quarters.

And then unfortunately there was a weed...
I started up the 2nd half of a game i had started either monday or tuesday night. When i had shut down that game, before exiting, i was down by 10, and thus i made sure i was going to receive the ball. I let the game roll up to kickoff as to make sure i had receiving options, I did.
So, i start my game up last night, A) I have to kickoff B) under 3 minutes into the game, i have to take a time out, the commentator says "and that was their last one....."
Pissed off now, when the game continues, i obviously double check their error, not only did i have zero time outs, the cpu had zero time outs as well.
This is the first i've noticed any errors of this nature, hopefully it's a singled out occurrence."Not the victory but the action. Not the goal but the game. In the deed the glory."Comment

This feature addition has been great for me. If you loose connection it will save your game as well.

Possible? Anything is possible. But I would think it would have to be a completely different setup. Plus you get into the "What if player A did this intentionally" kind of issues. It would have to be a lot more though out than single player style.
At least in my opinion.
