Getting stopped short
I'm in my 4th season and I don't complain much however anytime I have 3rd and less than 5 it always seems my receivers have to come back to the ball or they go into possession catch animation. What set me off is I had 3rd and goal with 6 seconds to go, ran a cross with my TE he was 5 yards into end zone and wide open, threw it to him, by the time he catches it he is at the 1 yd line gets tackle while in possession catch and I lose. Anyone else notice this?Tags: None -
Re: Getting stopped short
It's been around a while, I just treat it like a bad spot and it makes it more fun to stomach. I mean, with a real game, you always yell at the TV at least once over a bad spot, right? My favorite is when you start at the 25 after a touchback, yet have 4th and inches with the ball appearing to be squarely on the 35.Comment

Re: Getting stopped short
I was playing a game the other day and I had the ball at my own 7. Run a pass play and immediately check down to my running back in the flat. He gets hit at the 5 and the tackle battle thing pops up. I won and it ended up taking my ballcarrier into some jank spin animation and he flew backwards into the end zone where he's gets tackled for a safety. Definitely need to look into the locomotion and animations when it comes to spotting the ball.Comment

Re: Getting stopped short
On the plus side, I have challenged these questionable spots a couple of times and actually won the challenge. I was surprised.
A small consolation, but worth noting.Comment
