    NBA 2K17 for PS4 Pro

Is there any reason to get NBA 2K17 for the PS4 Pro if I already have the game on the XBOX One S running HDR on a 4KTV? I have not seen any impressions that make me think the game will run or look that much better.

I wouldn't think so. 2K would need to make an update and there'd be no reason. There wouldn't be any graphical upgrades or added features.

NBA 2k17 4k native 60fps HDR, vs. 1080p 60fps HDR there is no comparison.

I think they are doing a PS4 pro update. It'll likely natively render at something like 1440p and upscale to 4k. I've played the game on PC at 4k with everything maxed and it doesn't look that much better than console. It loads a lot faster off an SSD with a fast processor but the PS4 pro has neither of those. Pass.

Edit: will render natively at 4k. Will definitely look better but having seen the PC version with my own eyes I'm not sure it's necessary.

The PC is 4K native but with caveats. If you have a 10bit panel for your tv, you will get wide color gamut HDR 10 which is significantly better. If your TV isn't 10bit then you will get a narrow color gamut and it drops dramatically. 8bit panel 16.8million 10bit panel 1billion diffferent colors

i don't what you guys are going about but I have seen the game running at 4k on PC and it looks significantly better. much more crisp and smooth with a complete lack of jaggies. And this was without HDR. I was going to pick up a second copy for pc if on sale over the hollidays but figure since I am getting the Pro on release it will hopefully be a close enough aproximation.

My question to you is how much of a difference do you notice on the Xbox One S with the 4K and HDR compared to a LED TV?

The PS4 pro does the same as the Xbox one s it'll upscale the game to 4K and hdr but it's not native 4K due to the fact the game isn't made native 4K. next year for sports in 4K. How much of a difference is hard to quantify it differs person to person but imo I see the difference but if money is tight I def would tell ppl to hold off its not a night and day difference

PS4 pro does not do the same as the Xbox one a that is very false

The Xbox one a simply upscale from 1080p or 900p depending on what the game was renders in. The PS4 pro will render a game at a resolution higher than 1080p and (whether it's 1440p or 1800p or whatever) and then upscale to 4K from that resolution. Big difference.

It has already been confirmed that 2k will be 4k native 60fps do your research for the ones saying what PS4 Pro can do and cant do,

As far as the comparing the One S to the Pro thats not even s fair comparison have to wait for the Scorpio to do comparisons.

NBA 2K17 is reported to be native 4K so no upscaling or checkerboard rendering.

I know guys lol I was referring to other games . But it was confirmed 2k will be native 4K. A lot of PS4 pro games won't be native 4K but use checker board rendering

You do realize that the PS4 Pro is 3 times more powerful then the Xbox One S right? I mean that is a large false equivalency to suggest that because the One S has a 4k upscaler that it does the same thing.

2k announced that an update for NBA 2K16 for the Pro will be available and run the game at 60 in native 4k. It will look significantly better on the Pro period, there is no discussion to that point, only if you feel better visuals are a worthwhile upgrade with unchanged gameplay.
