Do we have too high expectations?

When 2k5 first came out almost everything was pretty positive, now everywhere I go on the net the game is being trashed for a number of reasons (poor trade AI, QB Spy bug, Rushing yard bug, framrate issues, etc....) and I know this happens to every major sport game that comes out.

It always starts off positive, then gets trashed and then it dies down and becomes stabalized with positve and constructive critism.

Sometimes I feel like videogame players will never be happy unless it plays exactly like the real sport ... which will never happen.

I feel like most need to lower their expectations and most importantly relax ... it's just a videogame!

for 20 dollars espn 2k5 blew down the door of expectation

this is the best sports game of the year...until we play madden...and the other genres of sports

have you ever seen a game so beautiful or every game play so differently

due to it being a sports game and not a rpg, or something of that nature...we know from only a week of what we are gonna get for the next year...and its damn good

I agree completely, and just so you know, ESPN did NOT disappoint me none the least. That's the most important thing guys! Get whichever game makes YOU (the consumer) happy.

I believe that this game did get overhyped, yet I believe that I've never heard of a game that didn't.

And also, this game hasn't been out for even a week yet, so we're almost right on schedule, maybe just a little ahead of schedule... usually, for the next week or two, we will start to hear some of the negatives, bugs, and glitches. After that week or two, it's a little quiet, maybe some franchise stories, some new newcomers, then after that comes some more roster stuff and slider stuff, some questions here or there, and it's almost like the negative era never happened. It's like this for every game on every board, it's very common.

WE don't have too high expectations. A lot of people expected the game to be perfect. Those people did have too high expecations. But I'm perfectly happy with the game, and I know many others feel the same.

It could of used more time in the oven, that's for sure. The punt blocking, animations, and STILL incorrect spot calls since 2k are among some things that are making me put it up until the season starts.

As the cable guy said after breaking the backboard:

[begin lisp] I LOVE THIS GAME! [/end lisp]
