Edit that diamond Mutumbo would be a must have if he have same Hof badges as the emerald, plus more.

Lockdown theme
He better have, his emerald is my backup over Wilt & Kareem.
I'm disappointed GP is only a ruby so he might not have HOF badges.Comment

Re: Lockdown theme
Admiral for the collection reward, i wonder if they gonna actually give him good speed this year.Comment

Re: Lockdown theme
Your right, I legit forgot we already had a ruby card, never played anyone with him so completely forgot. Yeah pippen should had been the reward and which is needed since legit SF is truly lacking right now.Comment

Lockdown theme
I had him early on he was solid. His diamond is going to be a monster but we defiantly didn't need another diamond reward C.
They should've call this set a shot blocking set with 7 out of 8 of the best cards being bigs.
Lockdown defense set I was expecting a prime GP & reward USA Pippen. Would've locked in the sets.Comment

Re: Lockdown theme
I think it's interesting that there are two pullable 94 rated cards in this set and the reward is only a 95. I would think Robinson should be a lot better than the cards that go into his set but I guess we'll see.Comment

Re: Lockdown theme
Looks good to me and of the two diamonds BR should be pretty cheap if it is like the past games. It will probably still take too much MT to complete the whole set though. That's what sucks about having to lock things in if you want to get a reward card. It cuts down on MT making.Comment

Re: Lockdown theme
My question is, will we get a better Olujawon? I'm definitely tempted to upgrade.Comment

Re: Lockdown theme
There's some interesting/weird stuff here:
1. G.P. arriving as a Ruby. Remember, last year, his DPOY card was a 92 OVR Amethyst, and that was the higher of the two versions of him. (Other was 90 OVR Historic Thunder/Sonics.)
2. Hakeem at 92 OVR, and not around 95 OVR like last year's DPOY Hakeem. There must be another final Hakeem. Wonder if it'll be Diamond or PD.
3. Rodman at 92 OVR. Imagine that they got him up to 92 (from 88) with stuff like Speed, Acceleration, Lat Quickness, Strength all getting consequential bumps (and probably midrange in like mid-70s?). His "low" Lat Quickness is a reason why I never play him at all, because he's not big or strong enough to play 5, and if I want a defensive rebounding specialist at 4, then I'll use Ben Wallace. But if we get a Rodman with Lat Quickness in the high 80's, then I'm going to have fun trying to fit him and Wallace into a lineup together.
4. Dikembe at 94 OVR. Last year, his best version was 89 OVR for his DPOY. Wonder where the improvements will come.
5. Tony Allen at 87...wonder how they're going to get him up to 87. Even if you take the shooting of his 76 OVR Celtics and combine that with the Def IQ of his 75 OVR Grizzlies, that doesn't do it. He must be getting Open shooting buffs, Speed/Accel, Strength...
6. Bill Russell. I'm just wondering how he'll compare with Willis Reed and Ben Wallace, in terms of Speed/Accel and Lat Quickness.
I know it would be a complete disaster on offense, but I would have fun trying out a Defense-at-all-Costs lineup that switches on all screens with all guys basically being interchangeable defensive parts and see how frustrating they could be to face, defensively.
Magic - Ben Wallace - Dennis Rodman - Willis Reed - Bill Russell.Comment

Re: Lockdown theme
I just wish their theme packs had many different positions. This looks like the big man pack revisited.
I ll probably pass and check if I can find an opportunity. Having already big Ben I don't need another defensive big. I will be checking that Payton if he is athletic enough. Or Prince if his offensive stats are boosted.
His sapphire was already maxed out in dComment

We're going to see a lot of 97 intangible ratings to get some of these guys overall up.
Russell on the 65 Celtics who's a 96 overall has 81 speed, 77 acceleration & a 67 lat quick. It'll probably go unchanged.
Prime GP is a 94 this year on the 96 Sonics. So he should get a diamond card this year.Comment

Re: Lockdown theme
To some extent. 2:1 sort of ratio, but a third are not C or PF:
4 Centers (not counting the Admiral)
4 Power Forwards
1 Small Forward
1 Shooting Guard
2 Point Guards
That Sapphire Tayshaun has room for improvement, even on D. Better than 77 Shot Contest and better than 42 Block. And better than 48 Strength.
The Sapphire also only has 75 Offensive Consistency.
So it's not hard to see various ways for them to bump him +2 in OVR, even if not touching his shooting at all.Comment
