    Re: Auction house refreshes

There were times a few weeks ago when the refresh was only happening every half hour. That's when the auction house was particularly laggy, which I'm assuming is because 2K's garbage servers were overloaded. Not sure if that's the case again. My refreshes the last few days have been pretty consistent at :04, :19, :34 and :49 according to my clock.

Yes. Seems like the PS4 refresh is 4 minutes behind due to server lag.

Pro tip: the refresh times for players and consumables are different. You can do the refresh for players and then jump over to shoes (for example) as that refresh will always be a couple of minutes after

That's just so weird. I wonder why 2K doesn't have a live auction house like EA's games. This is my first year playing 2K, so I'm still getting use to the AH.

I think sniping is pathetic. I hope they find a way to curb it in the future. It's much like locker codes. I find them both trash.

LOL. I can agree with the codes thing, but why is sniping pathetic?

It's just taking advantage of a weak system. Both of these reasons have me going back to MYGM/League next year only. This is the first year I've done MyTeam and there are too many problems with it to ever invest in it again. Add 2K's support and I can honestly say, I'll be better off without this mode next year. Last few weeks I've even been losing interest in this year. Sniping, Locker Codes, broken challenges, no help from 2K with any of it, and people actually want to keep spending money on this? Not this guy.

This take is scorching hot. If someone wants to take the time to learn the auction house and snipe their way to a good MT bankroll instead of dropping hundreds of real dollars on VC, why is that an issue? And how exactly does it affect you and your enjoyment of the game or access to cards?

Refreshing at the exact moment they hit is pathetic. There should be no "set" time they hit, then I have zero issues with it. It's a broken system.

There's no skill to it.. Everyone knows the auction house by now. Most of us just aren't pathetic enough to sit there all day refreshing the ****ing game or refreshing twitter for locker codes. Like I said, pathetic.

I'm still not understanding how it affects your personal enjoyment of the game. There's a huge difference between locker codes and sniping. In order to be a good sniper, you have to put in a lot of hours to learn the market, find profitable cards and and flip them. A vast majority of the time, the gains are very small. It's a grind that takes a lot of time and effort, unlike a locker code that gifts you a 99 overall player.

It's also an equalizer for people who aren't trying to drop hundreds or thousands of dollars on the game. I bought a box topper of wingmen (the only box I've ever bought), which was a big deal to me because I've never spent money on a video game aside from the actual purchase price. All I got were crappy rubies, and at that point I decided to take matters into my own hands. I flipped everything for 50K and sniped my way to the team below with 400K MT left to spend on whoever I want. I put in a lot of hours to get to this point, but to me it was worth it.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion. I'm just not understanding your beef because locker codes and sniping are not even close to the same thing.
