Driving to the basket
 

When driving to the basket either in Gm mode or online how or what is the best way to get past the defender without using all the dribble moves. Do you guys push the sprint button or is that a bad idea??

Pick n roll . Cpu builds walls like trump and Netanyahu. No way you dribble through that .

The first two answers are correct: Change of Pace + Pick n Roll

Something I had to learn: holding turbo can be your worst enemy.

Those two work best if you're already dribbling. Otherwise I find in the triple threat, flicking the stick to one side and then back the other way quickly works to make your defender move. It's most effective out of the corner or wing for a straight path to the basket but it works at the top of the key too, usually good for getting free throws.

driving laterally works well to get a hip riding animation... like literally driving sideways, and then taking an angle to the basket. pump fakes help.

I use this move i call the "kobe" move
Its keeping your dribble alive while posting up and using the right dribble stick to change stances while moving towards the basket.

Ive been getting succesfull drives consistently. ..
You can do it with any player actually but i prefer to use guards because once the defender lost you your acceleration
Is quicker than a big man .

I dont know how to post videos but this move will rape the defense !! You need to practice it ...R2 post up whil switching stances and using the right stick to look for the open lane .

Once u get this down u will dominate hardcore !!

Try to avoid the actual post up animation
Dont get stuck to the defender but always keep a gap .
