MotoGP 17 Announced with New Online Mode & Completely Revolutionized Career Mode

MotoGP 17 has just been announced and for the first time, performance reaching 60 FPS. The game promises to have many of the innovations fans of the series have asked for over the years, including a new competitive and thrilling online mode, a completely revolutionized career mode and much more.

Check out the teaser trailer here and a brief interview with Milestone Lead Programmer, Michele Caletti, here, along with another interview with Milestone Lead Designer, Matteo Pezzotti.

“The big challenge was to get the 60fps goal without visual quality compromises. We optimized several areas of the game, from the engine, maximizing parallel computing, and using to the limit all the available CPU cores. We have also optimized the 3D assets, the shaders, being able to keep the quality up, while making them significantly lighter.

To be true, many of the things are now also nicer, because having the chance to rethink stuff, means that you can use your experience from previous titles and do an overall better job. The result is a game that looks very, very different, and at the same time plays much better: 60fps have a significant impact on handling, physics, and reactions.

Re: MotoGP 17 Announced with New Online Mode & Completely Revolutionized Career Mode

I don't give a crap about 60 FPS. I want a good racing model, good bike physics and smart racing AI.

The emphasis on framerate scares me. I wonder if Milestone is putting its focus in the wrong places.

They are probably banking on a lot of support from the steam/pc community..............60 fps is pretty essential for a pc racing title.
