First Home Run Thread 17
So I always like seeing who people hit their first home run with and off of what pitcher! You can't tell me you don't get pumped after your first bomb in a new version on the Show, especially with the mammoths people are hitting this year.
Try to include: Hitter: Pitcher: Ballpark and what part of the field: Distance (if you remember): Any other cool scenario: For me it was... Hitter: Josh Bell Pitcher: Chris Sale Ballpark and what part of the field: PNC Park, Right Center Distance (if you remember): 432 I think Any other cool scenario: Josh Bell (Switch hitter) hitting off the right side in the bottom of the 4th. Was also wearing the Pirates home Thursday uniforms (digi camo) |
Re: First Home Run Thread 17
Hitter: Jhonny Peralta
Pitcher: Wade Davis Ballpark and what part of the field: Busch Stadium - Left Field Distance (if you remember): over 400 but forget exact distance. Any other cool scenario: With Molina on first in the bottom of the ninth Peralta's home run was a walk off winner for the Cardinals after their bullpen had given up the lead in the top of the ninth |
Re: First Home Run Thread 17
Hitter: Freddie Freeman
Pitcher: Jeanmar Gómez Ballpark and what part of the field: SunTrust Park (right-center) Distance (if you remember): 408 Any other cool scenario: Walk-off! :nchuck: it happened on the first pitch, too! Fastball up and away. |
Re: First Home Run Thread 17
Hitter: Josh Reddick
Pitcher: Danny Farquhar Ballpark and what part of the field: Minute Maid Park, right-center into the home bullpen. Distance (if you remember): 390 ft (roughly) Any other cool scenario: Astros were down 3-1 in the bottom of the ninth after Tampa took an early lead in the first inning off a homerun from Brad Miller and doubles by Longo and Dickerson. We start the bottom of the ninth with Cedeno is pitching and Astros get single from Beltran and double from Yuli. I pinch hit Gattis for McCann and he hit a ball into the hole at short and Duffy jump-throws offline and LoMo can't get back to the bag in time while Yuli races from second all the way home surprising LoMo and he can't make the throw in time tieing the game up with Josh Reddick coming up to bat. Rays bring in Farquhar and the rest is history. Reddick shows how he makes a living by catching a hanging breaking ball on the inside corner deposits it into the bullpen. Winner winner, chicken dinner. |
Re: First Home Run Thread 17
Hitter: Anthony Rizzo
Pitcher:Corey Kluber Ballpark and what part of the field:Wrigley Field, Right, center. Distance (if you remember): 480 Any other cool scenario:Was just playing around in a game to test things out. In my first at bat with Rizzo he cranked a 3 run shot after both Schwarber and Bryant got singles. |
Re: First Home Run Thread 17
Hitter: Ben Zobrist (Cubs)
Pitcher: Warren Spahn (Braves) Ballpark and what part of the field: SunTrust Park, right field Distance (if you remember): Don't recall Any other cool scenario: RETRO MODE GAME. Zobrist hit a screaming two-run shot to right in the top of the 9th to give the Cubs a 2-1 lead. Bruce Sutter would hold down the fort in the bottom half, and the Cubs went on to victory. |
First Home Run Thread 17
Hitter: Odubel Herrera
Pitcher: Noah Syndergard Ballpark and part of field: Citizens Bank Park, left center Distance: over 400 Cool scenario: It was my first game of MLB 17 and Syndergard was dominating, he actually struck out 14 by the time he was done. The Mets just went up in the top of the 6th on a solo homer by Curtis Granderson to make it 1-0. In the bottom half, I work a lead off walk with Jeremy Hellickson who had been just as good as Syndergard, and next batter, Herrera gets a fastball out over the outer half of the plate and goes opposite field to make it 2-1, which was the final score.
