Your favorite player so far?

I like to see who everyone enjoys playing with and who they do the best with. I will give one hitter and one pitcher.

Hitter:
Justin Turner: He is a beast! If you are looking for a RH 3rd baseman, grab him! Hitting well over .500 in ranked seasons games, with 5-6 HR. Coming in a close second would of been my Loyalty reward Daniel Murphy. He is over .400 in 14 games.

Pitcher:
Julio Teheran: Seems like I pitch with him every single game. He already has 7 starts in 15 games. 4-1 3.10 ERA, ton of K's from his CH.

I am 6-0 in ranked and I have really liked Cargo, Freeman and 84 reds griffey I havent had much of a chance to play with my actual team since the grind is real in the game.

Cargo is a beast! I pulled Stanton and have now sold him because I hit so much better with Cargo.

Another one that is solid but may have been just because of the matchup rating was Brandon Belt. He launched 5 HR in 3 games.

Yea this is the first year i packed cargo early i have 3 gold outfielders on my bench

as odd as it may seem, Greg Bird has been a monster for me, hitting clean up and for me, he really drives the ball well.

I have been killing it with Khris Davis and Wil Myers. Myers having 74 speed is awesome too, especially playing 1st base which most players are fairly slow.

I don't really like any of my SP honestly, I do like using Capps in relief though

Jonathan Villar has been a monster for me through 8 games. Ultimate table setter.

Offensively, Edwin Encarnacion. He's hit close to 20 homers in less than 100 ABs. Pitching wise it's been Kevin Gausman, wasn't planning on keeping him in my lineup but online he's 2-0 with two complete game shutouts. People have serious trouble hitting him.

I got Bautista from a preorder pack, but his contact was so low I sold him and bought JD Martinez who is an absolute beast.

Ben Zobrist had a 3 HR game and Evan Longoria has been consistent.

It would be easy to pick one of my gold position players but instead will go with my one bronze infielder, Aledmys Diaz. He has very high contact against both lefty and righty pitchers. His power number are decent and are also very balanced.


Add to that that he has a ridiculous number of quirks:
Road Games? He gets a boost
Night Games? He gets a boost
Runner at 3rd with less than two outs? He gets a boost
Has two strikes against him? He gets a boost
Is your team behind? He gets a boost


I recently went through Conquest and chose every game to be a night game and they are all considered away games so he did really well. I expect to see him jump to silver since he is at 79 right now.

Surprisingly I have been playing much much better with lower rated players than my higher rated ones. In conquest you have to have 275 plate appearances for the AL Central to get their Gold card. So I put all my AL central players in to get there faster. It was mostly bronze with a silver and 2 golds. I was averaging around 8 runs per game. Then once I got it, I put my regular squad back in. 5 golds, 3 silver, then whatever pitcher gives me. I might get 2-3 runs per game.

Anyway, long story short. I like contact over power and 78 Justin Morneau has been killing it for me. Average in the .600's and pitching Chris Archer has been amazing.
