Best way to play NHL 17 offline

As the title says, I'm an offline player at the core and have been for several years.... NHL 17 has the best gameplay by far and it's the most fun I've had in the past few years playing hockey on my XBOX one.

BUT, to have this, you need a great set of sliders... it totally changed the game for me... I'll go in depth a bit later in that post.

Tried Be a pro for awhile, while it's gotten better over the past few years, the same stuff that irritated me a still there, so that's why I switched and played a season while locked on a position for an entire game. I'm having a blast right now and the gameplay is out of this world for a game.

And before I played with the sliders, I was about to throw the controller out the window, lol ! The goalies could'nt stop a beach ball and the game was out of whack....

So if you are looking to play the best hockey on a console and you want to play as real as you can, play it the way I'm playing it, and you won't regret it.

Before I post the sliders, a big KUDOS to Cycloniac. I took his slider set to start and adjusted a few things here and there.

Here we go, you won't regret it ;-)

I know it's been a long post, but what can I say, it needed to be out there, lol !

P.S.: I play Position locked on either the RW or on D, depends on how I feel. That's what's fun about playing a season with your favourite team, and at the same time, you can be a WAY better coach than the moron on BAP, lol !

P.P.S: I never ask for a pass... try to play it like this. If you get in a good position, the AI won't have problems finding you. And it's more realistic that way too :-)

Let me know what you think :-)

I In the past I always would player lock on a different position every game. I may go back to that and see how it goes towards the end of my season I'm currently in.

Re: Best way to play NHL 17 offline

Really love position lock... What I do, is I alternate between the two every time I lose a game, lol ! By this I mean, If I'm playing a game at RW and we lose, next game I play as a D and so on... Looks like we have a better record when I play as a D cause right now we are on a 4 game winning streak ;-)

As for the sliders, the first thing that scared me was the game speed at 5, cause in all other NHL games I used to lower this down in the 0 to 2 range... But as it is right now, 5 is perfect ! The gameplay looks like a real NHL game and you always have to be on your toes especially when playing defense... let's just say that you learn real quick that pinching can get you in lots of trouble, lol !

by far this is the best NHL game offline.
        I love it.
Its also the very first time Ive played an EA game on superstar level and I don't feel cheated.
