Here is how to FIX the "Too Many HOMERUNS" Tested over 35 games
 

Hey everyone,*

TRY This slider set!!! I have tested these over 35 games so far.

I have been averaging 0.8 Homers per game over the course of 35 games in my season with the Yankees. When i first started playing the game (In Play Now Exhibition) i was playing on All Star Hitting and All Star pitching and i was hitting 5 homers a game with default sliders. Only using regular swing. I never use power swing.

Here they are:
Hitting Difficulty : Veteran
Must be on Veteran so that you can score some runs by just hitting.*
Pitching Difficulty : Hall of Fame
Directional hitting


*Any sliders not mentioned are default.

User Power (Minus)-4
Cpu Power (Minus)-4
User Solid hits : Maxed out
Cpu Pitcher Strike frequency -3 (Needs to be -3 because computer throws too many strikes on Veteran difficulty) I'm averaging 2 to 3 walks a game with it set on -3 on Veteran. This slider set at -3 will not work on higher hitting difficulties. You will see too many balls on higher hitting difficulties.
Outfield Arm Strength -5
Infield Arm Strength -5*
Outfield/infield Arm Strength at -5 will allow the cpu and user to see runs scored off of hits. And the game will still play realistically.

NEW UPDATE as of 4/16/2017

I have decided to up Power up to 2 and tested it for 7 games.
In those 7 games I hit 3 homeruns in one game and 0 in the rest.

Then I decided to up Power up to 3 and tested it for 6 games. (Only mentioning my homers not the cpu's)
1st game 0 Homers
2nd game 0 Homers
3rd game 1 Homer with Gardner
4th game 0 Homers
5th game 5 Homers: Carter, Holliday, Judge, Gregorious & Hicks.
6th game 0 Homers

It seems to me that Homeruns come in spurts. I don't know why that is. Also the higher the power slider the more doubles happen. With Power at 1 I was not hitting enough homeruns.

New update for my sliders:

User & Cpu Power: 3
Cpu Starter Stamina: 8
Cpu Manager Hook: 0

With Power sliders at 3 over the course of 6 games
I have hit 6 homers and have allowed 8.

I just finished another game.

Over the course of 36 games I now have:

Hit 32 Team Homeruns
Allowed 42 Homeruns
Have a Team batting Average of .249

If thats not realistic. Then I dont know what is.

These will create realistic results. I promise. I have been playing MLB the show for over 6 years now and I'm really good at the game.

Don't shy away from the Veteran hitting difficulty. With these sliders you will still have to concentrate on hitting since you wont be hitting homeruns left and right.

Trust me. You won't be dissapointed.

lol These Trump sliders actually work.

I know a lot of you will see the veteran hitting and not even try these. But i put the hitting on Veteran to compensate for the power slider going down by 4.

You will need veteran hitting to be able to score off of hits alone.

What's really the difference with solid hits and contact? Interesting you have it maxed I try to play on veteran to get balance and realism too I've had solid hits down to 3 contact at 4 power at 4 just so I can get the right amount of strikeouts and walks I hit about on average 3 homers a game but have gone some games with 0 or 1

Contact allows you to check swing easier and make "contact" with the ball.


Solid hits slider adjusts the frequency of line drives versus choppers/pop ups.

So i have maxed out solid hits so that you can score with just hits as opposed to just the long ball.

Try these... start a season and play at least 10 games. I say start a season so that the game tracks the stats for you.

If you go on google and write: Mlb the show "too many homeruns" you will see that MLB the show has had this problem every year. People have made a post about this every year. This year even more.

With the sliders i posted above you will score runs off of hits.

So Contact is 5 but Power is 4 or 1?
