I think the list is pretty good, especially where they make room for the long-shots you wouldn't think of like Ajayi, Robinson, Madden, and Gronk. But surely the ordering is off. I don't think 40 year old QBs are very high on the priority list... it seems they like to go with younger guys who can make one handed catches or pylon-diving plays for their hype videos/trailers. I think David Johnson is one they might have missed based on this criteria.

I think one of the trio of young superstar RBs (DJ/Zeke/Bell) is the best bet, with Zeke being a heavy favorite, benefiting from the Cowboys name and market size.

David Johnson is a great role model and I'd love it if he made the cover - probably not the most attractive choice, though.

I sort of doubt it'd be Ezekiel Elliot considering he may face a suspension. But if they've updated QB or how you play QB I could definitely see Dak Prescott. He's young, really good, plays for America's team and has a pristine rep.

I hope not though as I don't want to see him get ensnared in the Madden curse.

Since the game mostly caters to the Ultimate Team folks EA could possibly use the UT logo.

I don't agree they mostly cater to Ultimate Team. They give it a lot of attention, sure, because it makes them a ton of money, but if the base game isn't great then no one will play the MUT part.

I think it will end up being one of the guys that they've worked with and we've seen in adverts over the last couple years. Like the article mentioned OBJ won over Gronk who ended up on the cover this past year and I think they'll follow that this year with someone like Von Miller or Antonio Brown being most likely and then Julio Jones and Patrick Peterson next up. It is weird that there hasn't been a QB on the cover since M11 though but I don't think there is any way Brady ends up on the cover.

I think we already have our answer, Antonio Brown was on the Super Bowl edition of Madden 17 if you guys recall. That's my guess as to who it will be.

Surprised no love for Khalil Mack. DPOY and helped lead Raiders to first playoff berth in a long time. He's singlehandedly finished games for them.

If they go defense I'd bet on him for sure. However Madden rarely goes defense it seems. Last defensive guy was Ray Lewis wasn't it? That was forever a go!
