50 foot lead passes on full sprint...
Since it does not happen in the NBA can we make this pass connect at a rate of 3%. One armed full sprint chuck down the court and the defense never reacts to it. been there for 18 years. Time to turn the percentage all the way down. Thankschuckcross.bandcamp.com

Re: 50 foot lead passes on full sprint...
I think we need more accurate passes, not less accurate.
What NBA player can't make a pass down court to a open man? I'm tired of seeing these stupid lob passes that take forever to get to the intended man -
Re: 50 foot lead passes on full sprint...
The bad lob passes don't even belong in the NFL. These passes float for way too long in the air, it's so easy to intercept.
And for the full-court passes, have you seen the outlet passing in the ASG? These are pros and there's rarely a turnover from an inaccurate pass.
Most turnovers in the NBA you'll see is the defender reading the play correctly/quicker than the offense and cutting in between with their hands.
We should want 2K to make a game that reflects the skill it takes to play good defense in the NBA.
I want the CPU to be smarter on defense, not more idiotic on offense.
Passing well is highly valued in the modern NBA where movement off-ball and ball movement are key.
So improve passing (because this reflects the real NBA more accurately), but the onus is on 2K to improve their defensive AI to match it.Comment

Re: 50 foot lead passes on full sprint...
I'm probably not articulating myself well. I mean when a player is in full sprint then with the right hand he is dribbling with he scoops the ball and throws with the same hand to the guy under the hoop or wing. There is a defender 2 feet away from the receiver. The defender allows the ball to go over his head and the offensive player catches it and goes for his shot. THIS NEVER HAPPENS IN ANY ORGANIZED BASKETBALL PROGRAM. I wish I had a video to show.chuckcross.bandcamp.com

There's NO defending this. It's inexcusable and shouldn't happen.

Re: 50 foot lead passes on full sprint...
This happens way too much in 2K17!
The CPU throws 5-10 passes where the defender is
looking at the ball, no deflection and no interception.
Also the CPU will through a pass through a defender's body part for a perfect pass. Defense awareness can be at 100 yet the user players are still delayed or don't respond.Last edited by keshunleon; 05-01-2017, 06:51 AM.True bout my business, Mane!Comment

Re: 50 foot lead passes on full sprint...
Yeah I get ya now.
2K's clipping/phasing issues have been huge and it's a big reason why hustle sh*t like steals/rebounds/blocks don't work properly.
YT "2K17 phasing" and you'll see the ball phasing through everything. Even your body can get phased through by arms and stuff.
This is because their player model/boxes aren't the right shape/size so "contact" isn't really made properly.
This affects all the physics in the game tbh.Comment

Re: 50 foot lead passes on full sprint...
There needs to be a pass off the dribble rating. Just like Madden has a throw on the run rating. Passing while moving is a skill.Psn: Alabamarob

Re: 50 foot lead passes on full sprint...
I don't see problem with the passing itself the problem is the defense in 2K is terrible and it's impossible to stop said play. If they can't work out a way to make the pass deflections work with animations that MAKE SENCE FOR THE SITUATION and RESPONSIVE STEALS THAT don't trigger 3 seconds AFTER I press X and the ball passes me and my man scores because I'm locked in a goofy and unbreakable animation.

You don't see a problem with a play that literally never happens in the league? really? Yes the defense is even worse BUT thats only because that pass wouldn't be made especially with the dude being guarded perfectly.I don't see problem with the passing itself the problem is the defense in 2K is terrible and it's impossible to stop said play. Re: 50 foot lead passes on full sprint...
Real talk though, why wasn't the steal button pressed in that video? You're holding your arms up rather than pressing the button to steal and then wonder why there's not an interception.. That exact play with that specific defensive positioning is like a 95% steal if you just press square.Comment

Re: 50 foot lead passes on full sprint...
I'm okay with Lob passes occasionally mostly on the break as those long ones do happen. The way this is done in 2K is terrible and cheesy but it's something that can be done ever so often

Looked like he did but it was one of those Magic 2K moments where you don't react till the guy has already scored.
