So does this mean that a player can suffer an injury on a play, but if I go back a watch the replay they won't show any sign of injury? That sounds dumb

Remember when the use to have the animation when there was a hamstring injury? Like the player would limp and run way slower

This is far better than nothing.

Of course you should remember it would be completely random anyway (aaccounting for injury ratings): if it were animation triggered the animations would be random too.

Wow that's super dumb. How is that adding to immersion?

Because it means you have to sign offensive line depth. How is only needing five linemen on your roster immersive? It helps immersion BETWEEN games.

I don't care about it being random but I don't want to see a safety who isn't involved in the play break his leg randomly despite not touching anybody.

Non Contact injuries happen all the time in the NFL. This is a good addition.

I understand that, but unless you're actively looking at replays you won't even notice. One thing you WILL notice, if you play CFM, is that you only need five linemen without this addition.

The lesser evil is what they are giving us in Madden 18, and I think many here agree with that claim.

Other than this, I also hope the commentary puts in their two cents if an Off-Ball Injury happens.

I'm currently under the impression that you only get a tab that briefly pops up noting the injured party, and the game keeps rolling.

I hope the announcers discuss it as if it were a standard injury. I can live with that.
