Can't wait. MyTeam went from my 3rd most played mode to my favorite mode last year. I really enjoyed it in 2K17 and I can't wait to get back on it for 2K18.

I'm not sure how I feel about all these new modes. I like that they added a salary cap for one mode but it's just all seems a bit OTT. All they needed to do was improve certain aspects of this year's one but again 2k have to be 2k and add 1000 new modes and features that will all most likely have major issues instead of just fixing what was wrong last year.

They finally addressed the offline content issue, I'm wondering if we'll have to use players from each franchise to progress through the Schedule mode, though.

Draft mode looks promising, even if we don't know if there's an offline option like in Fifa with lesser rewards.

The additions to the mode sound like improvements but to bring someone like me out of retirement I need to know how the game economy works--I can no longer spend hundreds of dollars on the game nor hundreds of hours grinding in the auction house just to enjoy some of the better cards in the game or cards of my favorite players. Especially after the fiasco last year where I was banned in February for no apparent reason and lost all the work and $ I put in. It would be great if they tweaked it to suit more casual playing.

Everything sounds good except those strategy cards. Seems like another way to bail out crappy players.

If the Salary Cap Mode is a substitute for MTO instead of an addition, then the mode is ruined.

But if it's an extra mode on top it's great.

Why should I grind out the best cards in the game, if I can not team them up together? So if I want to run my 5 PDs for example, do I need to run an all ruby bench?

The people who benefit the most from these changes are especially offline players and non-AH-grinders with mediocore lineups.

The ones who always have the best cards in every game cycle take a major L though.

There is no need to be the one with the first diamonds, because you won't be able to build around them until salary caps get increased. So basically you always have to wait for 2K to raise the bar, even if you grinded out hard.
So if I'm 2 months ahead of the average player in terms of collector level - it won't help me at all.

The average MyTeam player won't care. But I now a lot of guys in here and from other communities, who might stick to 17 or even change to EA because of this.

From the pictures leaked it looks like the mode is a substitute.
We'll see on 09/15 - but I already have really bad feeling.

^ I watched the video and there is no longer a mto mode (it showed you all the game modes listed on the menu. It's a replacement, not an addition. I feel the same as you.

The sloppy and incomplete rollout of information is typical 2k, this all feels rushed and not thought through all the way. It's always up to the customers to figure out WTF is going on after they buy the game.
