Anyone else have this issue? This issue happened last year, and after multiple taps of the R2 it would finally work. This year it doesnt seem to work at all.

Cannot hot route RB/Te to block
when i press or hold R2 on ps4, after i choose a reciever, mainly the RB/TE to block, nothing happens. My R2 button is fine btw. i tried in the NE vs ATL game and in practice mode.

Re: Cannot hot route RB/Te to block
I have this problem with one of my controllers. It's definitely the controller - in my case at least - as it happens across multiple PS4s and on remote play as well as across multiple Madden games (16, 17, 18). The strange thing is that RT still works when I play other games like shooters with it.
I believe the reason is that the trigger buttons on the PS4 register both a simple press/pull and a full push down and that the latter can fail while the former continues to work fine. The block RB/TE hot route appears to use that full press so if it's not working it won't register while RT appears to otherwise work fine. At least that's my theory.
tl;dr Try another controller. -
