Brett Favre retired then came back and joined the Jets in 2008 but was on the Madden 09 cover in a Packers jersey I remember.

The Favre transaction occurred about five days prior to the game's release. We have a little more time here but I imagine everything's already locked and loaded on the production side? Have games typically gone gold at this point?

I think we're what, three and a half weeks from release? I think by now it's definitely gone gold.

Like above, I'd expect a printable cover of him in a Cs jersey, like how EA did with 09.

Too busy crying that the celtics really traded Isaiah Thomas, 2 young players and a draft pick just for Kyrie Irving to even care about the cover of the game.

I'm done watching NBA basketball i'm switching to Euroleague

Similar situation with Brett Favre and Madden 09. I remember Blockbuster actually printing off new covers of him on the Jets, and EA providing a print off cover option online as well. I still have my 'official' Jets cover.

Celtics probably did give up too much, but they were in limbo with all those draft picks and other pieces. They had so many great role players but never a legitimate superstar to carry them all the way.

They didn't want to end up like the Atlanta Hawks, who were good for the last 10 years, but never a serious threat. Even in '15, nobody considered them a threat to Cleveland or G.S.

How was Isaiah Thomas not a superstar? 29 PPG, 6 APG with a great FG%, 3P% and FT% and also a defensive rating of 108 which is A LOT better than people make it seem

I don't care about numbers, I base it off the eye test. I could see that the Celtics never had a shot at beating a Lebron Team in the playoffs as long as he was the focal point of the team. They most likely lose to a healthy Bulls team and barely got past the Wizards.

I'm just saying that short term, Celtics are better equipped to win NOW. Yea they damaged their future a little, but if you keep playing conservative and don't take risks, it's highly unlikely you will accomplish the main goal of a championship at all.
