Preseason Games - NBA 2K's Past and Future

My first time playing this NBA2K was this year. I was fairly surprised when I went to start my new franchise that there were no warm-up, get a feel for my roster/team, preseason games. The Show, NHL, Madden all have them and they work great. I get it that some folks, maybe many folks, will just skip them. I find them great for those of us that want to experiment within our franchise with our roster.

Anyone know if they will be back in for 2K18? Many attempts through Twitter have gone unanswered. Does anyone know why they took them out? Doesn't make sense to me why they wouldn't offer them.

Appreciate anyone taking the time to respond!!

    Thx.

Would be great if they brought them back, I'm just like you I enjoy the pre season games. I can mess around with line ups, minutes ect

Shame they took it out. They brought back the G-League so you never know maybe it's there, that would be an excellent surprise if they did. But they'll probably bring it back for for 2K19 with the title "New Feature" lol

I wish the G-League was playable again. I get why it's not though. I hope they bring better presentation to Summer League this year though. This day in age, rookies are coming in with more hype than ever. I mean there are YouTube videos telling you who the best 2022 prospect in the nation is and Summer League games are getting way more action because of this. I mean Lamelo vs Zion was a packed house and these guys can barely even drive yet. Can you imagine when they're close to fully developed and matured? It'll be crazy.

I remember I think it was NBA 2K11 when they first debuted NBA Today. You could play the Preseason games and some games were at neutral sites, even though the court was just generic team colors, it was a really cool touch.

I miss the pre season games. I usually started my rookies and mixed in free agents to see how everybody meshed. They were valuable until one of my big guns got hurt. Haha
