Well yes and No most Ps2 have trouble reading DVD-9 (Dual Layer DVDs 9 Gigabytes)

The CE is on a DVD-9 while the Regular is on a DVD-5 (4.7 Gigs)

Now there are alot of people are having stuttering and whatnot with the CE due to the fact that the DVD-9 is hard to read on most Ps2s.

Glad i read this. No Collectors edition for me. i have a launch ps2 so i cant even go online with it.

Really? I played Madden online with a launch PS2 last year. UNless im missing something on this years batch.

Huh???? I have a launch PS2 system and I play online almost every single day. How come you cant go online with yours?

When i try to log on it gives me an error message. -881 or something like that. That means that my hardware is incompatible. The last game i played online was madden 2003. i called sony and they told me that i have to send my ps2 back in so they can replace the chip in it so it can go online and it will take 2-3 weeks to get it back. I told them no thanks. I have dsl and i can play fine on my brothers ps2 because he has a fairly new one. Maybe i shouldnt have said launch ps2's and said some ps2's.

Do you know if the newer (say last Christmas) have any trouble? Or is it just the launch versions and ones from say 2001-2002 era?
